Be wary of the original silicon cover, especially on matte polycarbonate. Last time used it on my N9 and the cover leaves permanent oil stains on the phone. It was common for black color N9 users and I've also read similar issues for black lumia 920.

Basically the little spots that make it look glossy right? always wondered why is like that?

Ya that one. but Mine was more serious than just little spots. those little spots can be removed by using an eraser.

not sure what is the cause of this though. Could it be down to heat? not really worth taking the risk imo, could have just bought any of those transparent jelly cover, ie those selling by tskhor.

I can just say, regardless where and who, it can be done, and very strongly believe that the price can be actually much lower.

Besides, check 808 PureView thread before it's launch, if not wrong, people also worry it might go over RM2K.

Pricing wise, as my experience and sources, it's very much "adjustable", whether it's country/region or decide by HQ in other countries.
It's not misleading, and it's didn't happen just for Lumia 1020.... many other brands and phones have the same problem. Even the recent Note 3, Ebay special deals at RM1899, that's much more difference compared it's RRP.

Long ago, I bought the N81 at Nokia Store when it's just launch. After I purchased, I went down and saw a shop selling the phone RM100++ cheaper! I ask and found it's the same authorised unit by Zitron.
They're not Nokia Store, so they don't have to follow RRP strictly.

I've been telling few times, no need to rush; unless you really need to change your phone like, immediately.

If you already bought it, then don't look back and ENJOY your phone.
Some people buy things, then next day suddenly price drop or got special offer/free gift, it's also very heart-breaking; the point is, you already make the decision to buy at the price, don't look back and enjoy your purchase.

I and others (I assumed), Yes, we understand Price is definitely going to be lower than RRP.

But we are promised by Storekini and Nokia Malaysia for its Exclusivity.

Ok, noted your above.

Just can say, try to cheer up and enjoy the Lumia 1020. Hopefully Storekini and Nokia Malaysia can offer you all something to make up for it.

Anyway, don't stress yourself too much over it and enjoy the device.

goody, glad the camera grip is black, worry it is also yellow, doesn't match as nicely with my yellow submarine...first impression, I prefer the matte more than 920 glossy finish, reminds me of N9. And it's much lighter than I expected which is good, will test out later and for the first time experiencing WP! Need to take MC tomorrow ady LOL

Nokia and storekini did add another extra gift last minute yesterday. As a buyer I would like to believe it's a kind gesture for our support and nothing else. #tipusendiri LOL. Sure, potong steam a bit la when heard about the price discrepancy. And I don't think it's storekini's fault apart from the exclusivity thing (I didn't even noticed it!). Nokia Malaysia or dare I say the other dealers should be responsible a bit la. Why? Because established dealers shouldn't bully small dealers (like storekini or are there?) put price cheap cheap ma right?

The phones still need to be sent to the processing center first before being delivered to their intended address (correct me if I am wrong here). So maybe when they said deliver, they meant already collected by the courier company?

Storekini called yesterday to ask if I want to pick up and was told that if opt for delivery, should receive by Monday.

Is 1020's screen 2.5D (similar to 800's)? If so, does the screen protector works? On my 800 last time, the dust keep flying in left and right due to the curvature.
