That bumper is smexy! Do you mind sharing the link? I can't seem to find the thread you're talking about.. hmm.
I got one finally sir, all thanks to you! And yes, it is very powerful! I especially like the auto correct ability after some time of usage-- very precise. But is it normal for the keyboard lagging to key in my words or is it that I type too fast? Cause I checked running apps and all but all other aspects when it happens but the phone seems to run very smoothly other than the input while I'm typing.
Super true. My sister played with my Z30 and she kept swiping up and around on her S4 later on, and got frustrated on that too,ha! She's also starting to "jokingly" hinting of how I should pass her my Z10 or my Z30. As if! Anyone who lets go of their z30 is.. Uhm, rare, I guess. I also find it harder to use back button and such when I'm already too used with dancing my fingers up and around between apps. Also, I don't need too much apps. Those I need are already in BlackBerry World and the few extra from android I can easily side/download with the Web browser. I never used that much plethora of apps even on android anyways.
*
On the lag when typing, I suspect its the processor not giving the OS enough power. If you just switched in from another platform (as in the phone's new, and you just jammed in everything you could find on the blackberry world + snap (google play) and all the contacts sync, etc... You may need to give it a few days, probably more if you're a super heavy user, for the OS to settle down. This is often true after OS updates / new OS installs.

The latest OS 10.2.1.3175 would eliminate this (the so called keyboad lag), because its tuned to give more processing power on all apps.

my previous BB no physical keyboard.. maybe i miss the surfing/browsing experiences... nothing can beat BB, seriously..

somemore, even with 256mb quota, i download movie or everything on net but i never used more than 5mb/month..

You know, if you can really do that, I'm surprised. because if you can do that, that means you've just done something BIS was not invented for.

No. erm.. how should i Put it.

like this:

phone ---through BIS----> BlackBerry NOC -----internet-----> SERVER ----through internet--> BlackBerry NOC----through BIS----> phone

That's the picture I want you to understand.

Normal phones just connect to the internet. No BIS, no NOC. No security, no compression.

In your case, the video you downloaded should be charged under your data usage, BIS or not. However, that did not happened. For example:

100mb video that goes through BIS = 95mb in size (compressed, but only smaller)
100mb video that goes through normal internet = 100mb in size.

In your case, you claimed that your usage is 256mb per month. But after downloading a lot, you only used 5MB.
That's a lot of savings, and that wasn't what BIS was designed for.

That is why I'm surprised.

Is it an old BIS plan?

Perhaps that. But I dig around Crackberry and heard that it's some kind of a keyboard bug or something.. I don't know which is true but .3175 does smoothen things a bit. I'm not really a heavy user, just continuous browsing and only have instagram and another 2/3 android apps sideloaded but never opened at the same time.

Being on bb10 OS really is amazing. Sometimes I'm tempted by the new android phones (coughs at LG G Pro 2 / LG G3) but then thinks hey, why chase specs when I can have a perfectly smooth phone with amazing battery life with BB10 device I have now? biggrin.gif

I get your point. I had lots of friends who just took the 25/month plan and use their Blackberry's for everything- communicate, stream, tether. Turns out even if over limit they just slow it down a bit. Perfect plan for students eh brows.gif and then they just buy small android phones for instagram etc using wifi.

Ooh showing around, I like that. Their reaction really differs than when you whip out Android phones, right? brows.gif

My Z30 can connects to my house wifi where my xperia Z or my sister's S4 can't. Kinda cool, really.

What's the best price for Z30? Where to get? I'm tired of my S3. Super dumb for a smartphone.

You can try IPMART , its sold at RM1350.

That's the 'benchmark'. You may find cheaper sets.

Have anyone seen the new Passport and Classic? I love my Z30, but considering I'm typing so much on my phone, the wide Passport might feel a little bit more comfortable to hold while typing! drool.gif I am so eyeing Passport!

For space bar usage, I think it would be be okay as a key. I read it's swipe left or something for more elaborate symbols to pop up on screen, it might be fun added to the physical keyboard what with rumours that emojis are coming and we can do more than just a simple ; ) on a physical keyboard right? brows.gif

On a side note to keep to Z30 topic, anybody know how we can add symbols/emoji directly to BlackBerry keyboard on Z30 like those android Go keyboard one?

True, I side loaded Snap and went on a crazy downloading galore on games but ending up deleting them again and leaving the fun ones biggrin.gif the battery is amazing, right? I used mobile data like crazy on weekend cause got bored and the battery lasts a little more than a day!

But buying several for others, that's the best man! Share the BlackBerry awesomeness ahead! Salute!
