Found one @ RM3419 in lelong.
Touch screen does come in handy, especially the scrolling and zooming. cool2.gif May consider this type of lcd in my next laptop.

The one I found was actually 15-J137TX. If 15-j053TX is RM3219 in lelong.
But maybe you have additional upgrade and extra coverages/services added.
Anyway, I normally use lelong as reference only... icon_rolleyes.gif

I have done that. See my thread earlier.

You need to write a letter instructing them to transfer the money to an acc at another bank, provide all the details.

For me they did not do it on that day as the officer wanted to confirm my instruction by calling me and I was not on the phone then.

On my return, I had a chat with the manager, complaining what was the use of my signed letter when they still need to a verbal confirmation.

Good luck with yours.

I would like to express my gratitude for all the feedbacks that you guys have shared. Looks like the staff that I talked to knows nuts about BR's products. Really salute that staff cause can talk so confidently yet has no idea about the product doh.gif

I decided to uplift my FD from BR & give MBSB's 60-month 4.70% a try. Here's what I've found out:
1. The rate of 4.70% is negotiable if intend to deposit 7-figure amount - request will be considered but no guarantee will be approved sweat.gif
2. No online banking service - can't do IBG sad.gif
3. No hamper nor appreciation function for depositor - might change if becomes full-fledged bank (this part don't know can believe or not hmm.gif )
4. There are gifts available for FD placement - not as good as BR but still can receive mug, key-chain, face towel & umbrella smile.gif
5. Can choose the half-yearly interest to be credited into SA that gives 2.25% interest or request them to issue cheque

I obtained those infos through some very pleasant conversations with MBSB staffs. Don't take it as 100% correct. Might get different answers from other staff or branch, just like my case with BR.

Sekian, harap maklum.

Pakat-pakat option also cannot.. very risky too..

I am not familiar with investment funds.. Top Goat and Top Cat know better

Huh? You are not familiar with investment funds? Then you
(1) dump all your money in FD only ka? Or
(2) Put some in FD & the rest in stock?

My not-pro-at-all opinion la: (2) is OK, but (1) is rclxub.gif (1) is only practical if your personal expenditures is really low.

Since have the guts not to worry about PIDM issue, and if do not plan
to use the money in next 5 years, why not to place 61 months tenure
to generate profit to the maximum limit gao gao?

If really want to play, then play it big lah... biggrin.gif

Note: but in case if anything goes wrong, please do not blame me..  sweat.gif

Play big, scare will lose. Play small, little profit, can't get rich.

The risk-taking, bet-placing inner me has call upon me to sit beside you in casino to play again biggrin.gif

This time I risk my money that in 5 year time, the IR won't be raised to more than 4.70%. Hopefully our wager will reap reward.

Halo Warrior,

1. The rate of 4.70% is negotiable if intend to deposit 6-figure amount - request will be considered but no guarantee will be approved

Last time I asked MBSB many times about to get higher than 4.7%, but MBSB branch insisted 4.7%
was straightly not negotiable, they said even deposit 2 million also the same 4.7%, they said that called to HQ also useless.

If you can get higher than 4.7%, I appreciate if you can let us know asap.

I forgot to tell you one more thing. Last time when my sister withdrew her 6-figure amount of FD from
a MBSB branch, MBSB branch said they did not have enough fund in their branch, they offered 2 options:
(1) Bring the FD cert to HQ to withdraw, HQ can issue check on the same day.
(2) HQ will wire transfer the fund into my sister saving account.

Wire transfer fee was free, but this took 1 to 2 days for the fund to reach my sister saving account (not MBSB saving account).

My sister chose option 2, gave the FD cert to MBSB branch and without signing anything (risky..? sweat.gif ). Then 2 days later, my sister received the fund but lost 2 days interest.

So, you'd better ask MBSB, will they have enough fund for you to withdraw in the future??

New and existing. Mach account all placement online. Don't think they have any incentive for new customers.
3.7% for 6 months, promo ending end Feb.
