no.. it still uses Android 4.3 as base..

4.4.4 is the release version for their developer roms.. it's based on the date when it was released.. first number is the year, 2nd is the month, and 3rd is the day.. you see 4.4.4 because the latest rom was released on 2014 Apr (4) 4th.

Last week's release was 4.3.28, while next week's will be 4.4.11.


MiFans are anticipating MIUIv6, which should come with Android 4.4 KitKat as the base.

I have flash to latest development rom. I cant find the access to enable root can someone show me?

Under their Security app, go to Permission. There will be an toggle to allow apps to get root permission, and also manage what apps can have root.

have been using for 2 day, got 1 question, the lock screen shortcut can modified? i dint use sms much would like to change shortcut to whatsapp possible?

You'd have to look at some tutorials on how to use it, or just change the lock screen to another lock screen that supports Whatsapp.

Anyone getting stuffs from Xiaomi festival?

I ordered (with friend's sg address) a Redmi + cover + battery + charger and the headset + Mi 3 cover + Mi 3 screen protector. Took me 2 rounds to get the things.

Mi 3 is easy to get. The hot cakes are Redmi and their accessories.

In singapore now..wonder if i go to singtel shop 2moro or thursday, will they have any stock for mi3/hongmi? But still a hard decision due to waranty only covered in spore

Haven't heard any contract based Xiaomi phones. The only official way to get the phone is from the xiaomi.com/sg.

Singtel prepaid package.. Someone mentioned it before.

They mentioned in Singapore FB page it will take 10-12 days because of the massive order. Mi 3 not as laku is a good sign, easier to buy. It is almost never out of stock xD
