I saw some youtube review last night, they said about the MIUI Express(aka MIUI Lite) a launcher alike for non-Xiaomi Phone with all Xiaomi Cloud Services. Is MIUI Launcher but is different from the MIUI Launcher in the PlayStore.

QUOTE(mjeeva03 @ Apr 4 2014, 10:34 AM) Hrm.. MIUI being a custom ROM was built off a particular Android base (4.3 for Mi3). It brings a lot of additional features/customizations. Imagine TouchWiz for Samsung devices or HTC Sense for HTC (obviously)..MIUI developers provide constant updates, adding new features, new enhancements & fixes existing bugs.. They "crowd-source" requests, meaning they look into forums & user feedback on new features & requests.. And having these changes released every week (with the exception of CNY), users have new things to look forward to every week. To me, this is much better than just having it run off the latest Android base, and having to wait a longer time for feature updates, etc.. You can view the changelog for all their weekly updates here. That being said, having MIUI built on top of the latest Android base is always welcome.. My 2 cents.. QUOTE(mjeeva03 @ Apr 4 2014, 02:45 PM) Bro after i flash this build version, looking nice and more smooth. MIUI forum would be a good place to look for resources.. 2 Problems after that: a) Google Play store cannot use ready b) No google keyboard how to fix this I'm using a Mi2S, and for me, I had to use MiMarket, install an app called Google Installer, and then installed the Play Store from there. Not too sure about Mi3, but you can probably check out these few threads for help: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthrea...%2Bplay%2Bstore http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthrea...%2Bplay%2Bstore Cannot remember how I installed my Google Keyboard though.. |

QUOTE(taxidoor @ Apr 4 2014, 03:36 PM) as droidtrix mentioned, flash "Mi3-WCDMA Singapore" for gapps pre-installed (no fuss)..if you're feeling adventurous, I'd recommend "Mi3-WCDMA/CDMA > Developer ROM" for weekly updates & additional features.. |

The developer rom is a "rooted" version
its for developers, so root is a prerequisite you do not need to root it anymore . . . . Every Friday will receive update (i m updating right now) to install Play Store, go to Mi Market and search for Google Service, install it. If this is too complicated for you (i doubt so..... but all kind of people exists), go flash Singapore rom |
