QUOTE(DannyOP @ Mar 17 2014, 11:35 PM) I have search the phone with "market" no result. no google play too.I found the tutorial, it mentioned about xiaomi account but I don't see anywhere in the phone for this. now I'm highly doubt that this is a modified ROM. it doesn't show any set up steps when I did factory reset. QUOTE(donhue @ Mar 18 2014, 09:23 AM) Your about screen doesn't look like MIUI's normal about screen. Here's mine from a Mi2S, while you can see other MI3 about screens at http://en.miui.com/thread-13766-1-1.html. yup, that's why I'm confuse. can I ask the shop to flash the original rom for me? mine is the tegra 4 version btw. |

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Mar 18 2014, 09:35 AM) Yours is running custom rom, not official MIUI rom, and you say you are using Tegra 4 Mi3? Can it connect to our local network here? The screenshot you posted is showing the phone is connected to WiFi but not network though. yup. I called the salesperson with the phone with my digi prepaid. works fine. mobile network... I only get E sign there... need to test elsewhere. I only saw digi 2g network, better change the phone I guess.QUOTE(donhue @ Mar 18 2014, 09:35 AM) maybe you can ask them why it's not the original MIUI ROM, and see if they can flash it back for you.. My Mi2S came with MIUI right out of the box.. I ask them to set it back to original first, then I'll try something else. I worried the MIUI USB driver might be removed too... I only stay in KL today n tomorrow, need to make sure it works perfectly.otherwise, you can try flashing it yourself.. it was fairly simple for me when I was switching from Stable to Developer rom.. resources are at http://en.miui.com/download-101.html just make sure you select the correct version (yours should be Mi3-TD) highly recommend the developer ROM for weekly updates.. QUOTE(ralfmars83 @ Mar 18 2014, 03:04 PM) I'm a heavy mobile network user XDQUOTE(ralfmars83 @ Mar 18 2014, 05:20 PM) Working hours at the office, then at home as well (my brother and heer wife's case) yup, I'll return it tomorrow. either change for snapdragon version or refund...Another case with my friend, he is using prepaid, and he has company MiFi, so he decided not to get a data plan on his own while just using company's Mifi. It is rare, but there's smartphone user without data plan around us. Also, home's UNIFI serves better than most of our 3G mobile internet (never tried LTE though) Your Nokia 100 doesn't have android inside it. Using tablet to surf is another story. Back to the initial story which is the Mi3 Tegra4 owner, if you can get a replacement with snapdragon, good for you. But if not, and you do use mobile data, then unlucky you can use 2G only. |

QUOTE(ralfmars83 @ Mar 18 2014, 12:14 PM) Tegra 4 don't work to Malaysia's 3G (WCDMA)..it only works for China's 3G(T-CDMA). 1300. the dealer also not sure which is which. I only found out later when phone not getting any 3G signal. Therefore, you can only get 2G (G and E) in Malaysia. Didn't the seller explain this to you before you made the deal? How much did you pay for this unit? Your ROM definitely not MIUI. It is an AOSP ROM. is it possible to reinstall original xiaomi 3 rom? |

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Mar 21 2014, 08:10 PM) Tons of themes from the Xiaomi theme store.. After awhile getting used to MIUI it's a very fluid room with its own identity. A bit borrowed from Ios outlook with the versatility of Android. Definitely love the ROM, can easily enable / disable features that I need. The themes are awesome especially those that comes with MiSpace. So far accessing the MIUI Market the apps and themes come with high quality design. I'm interested in building a theme. Will explore the MIUI designer section when I'm free. |

QUOTE(calintztan @ Mar 27 2014, 07:10 PM) Whatsapp having delayed notification. And Facebook Messenger as well. Sometimes on time sometimes delay. I believe that's not only for Xiaomi or MIUI. My Galaxy Nexus running native Android 4.2 also have whatsapp / fb message delay, especially when I'm connected to WiFi. |

MIUI MiCloud has phone tracing, lock and wipe function too.
Previously I was using avast! for that + anti virus. Now it is easier with MiCloud, don't like to install a bunch of extra apps |

Anyone getting stuffs from Xiaomi festival?
I ordered (with friend's sg address) a Redmi + cover + battery + charger and the headset + Mi 3 cover + Mi 3 screen protector. Took me 2 rounds to get the things. Mi 3 is easy to get. The hot cakes are Redmi and their accessories. |

QUOTE(KeSToN @ Apr 8 2014, 07:22 PM) Brought two mi3 and a headset They mentioned in Singapore FB page it will take 10-12 days because of the massive order. Mi 3 not as laku is a good sign, easier to buy. It is almost never out of stock xDMi3 not as laku as redmi >.< Oh ya, btw there's no delivery date? Read the shipping FAQ 3-5 days? So should be quite fast eh |

QUOTE(alternativehype @ Apr 8 2014, 07:58 PM) http://www.xiaomi.com/sgcheck the stock release schedule, read the buying guide, then place your order. Only when you checkout it is consider secure the item. Add to cart doesn't mean anything. I put my friend's address in SG. Then manually collect |

No idea. The best way is to wait for Xiaomi to officially release the phone in Malaysia.
