Improvement is not a fix
Face it it's a hardware issue from certain batches especially made in China

maybe malaysia hasnt receive the update..

remember last update. it came out for taiwan first... then after a week or two ... only malaysian HTC one got the update

I bought my One on last Thursday and was marked as DOA by SIS on the next day. Now waiting for my replacement.

The unit that I have on overall is perfect cosmetically, only two issues that I had...

1. Capacitive button backlight leaking - the reason I asked for replacement.
2. Camera purple/red tint - found by SIS staff during the technical assessment, no so bad I would say coz the tint will be visible after 5 seconds in dark environment.

my 1 week old set. I've send it two times for RMA as well but SiS stupid enough to give me faulty set still. Yeap I have a HTC one red made in China too. If this time I don't get a perfect set. Ask them for refund nicely, if doesn't works then tribunal.

I think the later (refund) is a bit hard to achieve over the counter. A lot of process to go through and the people we are dealing with are not the decision maker... Tribunal is the only way to go.

Still there.. popped up on mine after 1min 30sec FHD vid recording in almost complete darkness.

As I said before I have the Taiwan set too and no problems whatsoever

Are those taiwan sets red in color?

Red One update:

After a week using, found out a stuck pixel. Doesn't look so obvious but can't live with it.
Will go back to service centre KJ to get it replaced.
We can do a 1 to 1 replace within the first 14 days right? With no questions asked?

Other than that, everything is perfect, just the stuck pixel

it is a pity that this thread has become a place of highlighting probs with htc one
i am very happy with my one as it does not have any probs
been using it naked for more than 3 months with xtremeguard for the back only
still loving the form factor and boom sound
but the ultra pixel in 4mp is getting outdated...

I'm happy with mine too. Truth be told, situations that creates photos with purple tint is too dark to get any reasonable quality with most cameras anyway.

I saw at the front page mention that the TW version(801e) & CN version doesnt have LTE
only the rest of it does,

which set does you guys bought and for mostly those who use LTE in MY?

801e is non-lte
801s is lte version
Mostly in Malaysia I think we get 801s version (some manufactured in Taiwan, some in China like mine )

Taiwan doesnt mean better
I myself got my first unit in TW version, purple tint and LCD gap
Now using CN version also purple tint
But it's true that red colour has less problems reported
