if you got skinny wrists, you'll look dumber than those wearing a certain 44mm watch.
damn lug to lug is 57mm...

ignore the naysayers, they just jealous cause they don't have one or don't have the courage to wear one. their Rolex Submariner won't be able to display color and animation, they just butt hurt.

i see someone trolling here so can troll the friend.. wah lau.. let it go already lah.. gee.

Tag Heuer is nothing special la, dime a dozen mass produced luxury good. What's the big deal lah. AIYO..unless he says its a double red sea dweller, not even worth discussing.

Even nowadays Rolex also nothing special la..you got enough money OR can borrow enough to hutang bank can buy already..what's the big deal.

And for today, a diver that's not a Submariner

The dial kinda hits me as Panerai, reminds me of sandwich dial. Frankly speaking I prefer JLC's dress watches to their sport watches.

Though, you can say this isn't another Submariner wannabe.

This is nice. Looks similar to Nomos
How much did you get it for?
Any local AD in MY? Would like to try the fit  biggrin.gif

Sorry bro, I don't own one, just spreading poison. I think Stowa can only order direct from them. They cut down the middle men (retailers) so can sell at affordable prices.

does it matter? they are no different to other companies who have no real watchmaking heritage like stowa, b&r or panerai...watchsnob ftw tongue.gif
*
Seiko has heritage, made the first Quartz watch and almost killed the entire group of Swiss manufacturers. Watchsnob don't give them that much credit. LOL.

Swatch watches are good, they are in house movements (LOL). Just buy the one you like and wear it.

Go to swatch shop and touch it, then go an ahpek shop and touch the cheapest Seiko 5 you can find. You'll have your answer.
*
Later he answer you...tertouch the ahpek hand..very wrinkly.. a bit soft too... then he bought the Seiko 5 cause the ahpek smiled at him rclxub.gif

watchsnob gives credit where credit is due.
for seiko, its mostly cos they churn out hundreds of sometimes faceless imitators at the entry lvl price point without any care for their credibility...that of cos trickles down to what then the general public may think of grand seiko as 'just another seiko'.
*
He gave credit to Panerai, lol. It was fair, though he still didn't like it.

Personally I think Panerais are silly, but I want one. And I would avoid their automatics like the plague, and go for the hand wound ones, least those are historically correct for Panerai...

As silly as it is, I still think Panerai > B&R..that's even more silly.

Hmm... IWC claims the pilot thing too and it seems just about every brand has a model that claims pilot heritage.

Even the Rolex Air King has supposed Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot provenance.

Is it because pilots buy a lot more watches than say.. an accountant?
1. Never heard a watch that chuck chuck chuck and ding ding dings like a train + bell tower crossover  laugh.gif

2. That's the hidden "reverse hacking function".  biggrin.gif For non hacking watches, apply slight backwards pressure on the crown to stop the second hand for precision time synchronization.
*
I would guess pilots and military personnel needs watches because they need to meet at 1600 hours and shoot somebody. Can't do that if you don't have a watch.

Accountants would have a clock in the office so no need for them to wear watches really...just a guess..

Thats pretty low im guessing since Tag boutiques are quoting 15% too. Went over today and was looking at getting their F1 series and the sales consultant had offered me 15% and she said could reduce a little more if im keened in getting it.

Guys, could i please get your advice about this model Tag Heuer Formula 1 CAU1115.BA. Retail price was about 6.8k.  Are there any other brands that have a similar design with the same price range ? Thanks in advance guys. Im still learning a lot about watches haha sweat.gif
*
A Longines Hydroconquest is a better watch than the Tag Heuer Formula 1 because its an automatic. If you want to spend so much money for a Swiss made watch, you want a mechanical movement inside to showcase Swiss manufacturing.

Does GST apply to those watch purchase through online oversea and imported into the country?

I guess if you are wearing it, and fly into Malaysia you terlepas.

Wear it in good health. Shiny. The bezel looks A LOT like Tag Heuer Carrera.

Insulting. Its 50 years of Heuer Carrera, not Tag Carrera.

Yes, mine is without the numbers, the classic/basic one. This one is bigger, 43mm I believe. I feel the numbers are too... intense. Way too cluttered.

Well, for the 43mm, I like the red accents, and the day display, nice touch, but those numbers are too much, considering you have numbers on the bezel, and more numbers on the dial. OMG! going blind.

Oh yeah, i believe someone here has a blnr? Can post more pictures under different lighting/angles?

The black/green was "meh". I feel the bezel should have 2 colors so you can differentiate day & night. But man this new blnr is a bloody Sub killer. If it weren't for the cult status of the Sub I believe this may have a chance to depose the sub.

That Carrera used what movement? Hand wound or auto?
Indeed good discount.

nope tongue.gif
2500B afaik only got 1 quirk, that once in awhile it doesnt generate enough torque to move from a dead start...so requires a slight tap to get it moving.
thats why 2500C came out which dropped its beat from 8bps to 7bps.

anyway, why didnt you save up more get a newer one with 2500D? thats the closest you're gonna get without it being a 8500 tongue.gif
*
Lol, movement with attitude.

sifus... what are my options for a new ladies watch between RM10-15k? no time to go AD to check doh.gif

For a lady, I think you can save the money and get a Longines.
http://www.longines.com/watches/The-Longin...n/L2.563.0.87.6

Automatic, mother of pearl dial, diamonds for bling.
Respectable brand, arguable in-house movement. lol. The nearest selections to top this, I think its Rolex or a Cartier Tank.
