Go to swatch shop and touch it, then go an ahpek shop and touch the cheapest Seiko 5 you can find. You'll have your answer.

for seiko, its mostly cos they churn out hundreds of sometimes faceless imitators at the entry lvl price point without any care for their credibility...that of cos trickles down to what then the general public may think of grand seiko as 'just another seiko'.

Even the Rolex Air King has supposed Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot provenance.

2500B afaik only got 1 quirk, that once in awhile it doesnt generate enough torque to move from a dead start...so requires a slight tap to get it moving.
thats why 2500C came out which dropped its beat from 8bps to 7bps.

anyway, why didnt you save up more get a newer one with 2500D? thats the closest you're gonna get without it being a 8500
