Coolant temperature sensor may be faulty. ECU uses this feedback for various engine operation status. It is a crucial signal for optimum engine.

I see NASA is putting efforts to improve product support. That's good as this will improve Peugeot image and RV. Hope they keep it up!

Cheers!

Hi! I've been driving my 208 for 6 months. After the first service at 5k, the car starting to hear screeching sound whenever I break. At first, it was not so frequent and still bearable. Then I sent my car for 10k service and informed them. They said they "fixed" it. Then the break screeching sound got louder and almost every time when I break - even when I break gently. I resent the car to them for them to check. And they claimed it was "normal" and you cannot compare Japanese car with European car. Now, I feel like I'm driving a truck and whenever I gently break, the screeching sound is so loud and I'm really disappointed. Better just drive back my old junk that has no problem with the break.

Anyone knows what to do or the reason? Or what should I tell service center?

mind telling which SC is this?
we shall avoid going to SC's that give this sort of "reasons".

Why not you try another SC. I'm sure they will be more happy to assist you.

I wouldn't accept that kinda reason. Mine doesn't have such sound when.braking. just the morning start loud.sound.which has gone after my 10k service.

Did you go to Geo Auto in PJ? I normally tell my issues to Ali whom has been helpfull in getting technicians there to check

I tried asking but no response from Peugeot on firmware or GPS.

Better of checking international forums. They update.firmware and.install GPS + Reverse camera.

Was having tea with my friends earlier and he was commenting on how bad the 208 car and the aftermarket was. He shared stories on how his friends had trouble selling his 208 turbo.

would like to get some 208 turbo owners here for some real testimony bcos i was thinking of getting the 208 in the second hand car market

Most conti cars wont have good resale value, not esp within first few years of selling, ya used 208 will be good...as the price will drop maybe 15% or more?

208 turbo? you mean the GTi right? the stock 208 is n/a.

if you're talking about the 308 turbo then yes, they have trouble selling their cars. i have repeatedly said, never air your car problems all over the internet and keep it discreet. why? because the banks will see it and refuse financing second hand units. potential owners will see it and not want to buy used examples. well, the rice has turned to porridge with the 308 turbo already and its time is over. thanks to the owners going public with their issues all over the web.

look at the vw owners now and see how difficult it is to sell their cars now. it is not the problems of the cars that make it hard to sell off but the bad publicity that they have brought upon themselves. it is just a case study on the effects of airing the problems you face with a particular brand all over the internet.

by all means vent to the franchise holders but going public... i'd think again.
