Nasim Old Klang Road. When I went to see mine, it looked like the roof had stains from d rain. Salesman said that.due to transport from assembly plant up North. I asked him if he giving me showroom or demo unit he said no. But I felt that there were hairline scratches around the roof if you see carefully. Might be me being anal.though. he said 30km mileage cos of test drive engine at the plant.

Btw did my first inspection today. Apparently I have a part recalled which would need to be replaced, at no cost. Ball bearing for suspension or something like that.

its not showroom or demo is somewhat logical..surely the mileage would be more than that..

test drive engine at the plant..can win oscar for that. mine is only 4km when i got it

im guessing the unit is from another dealer or some stockyard..only 1 unit to be transferred so instead of bring it up on a trailer..they drove the car

problems? its a peugeot..problem comes in a package

fc is not so great compared to japan rivals, maintenance 300-1k plus depending on interval

spare parts are expensive..

all i can say is, if u want a car that ticks most of the boxes 208 is not for you

most 208 owners bought the car because they love it, period.

Hi to all Sifus and Peugeot lovers,

Just went and test drive the 5-door 208 today and kinda fell in love with it. They're giving away RM6k cash rebate for white colors and RM5k for other colors. (So tempting drool.gif )

I'm seriously considering to get one but only worry about the FC and spare parts in long run (because I don't really plan to sell it anyway, it's for long term usage). Any recommended shop for servicing with reasonable price for spare parts? icon_question.gif

Meanwhile, I'm planning to do some minor touch-ups with tinting and maybe adding a spoiler (and with a cool yet reasonable exhaust as well). Any shop to recommend? hmm.gif (M staying somewhere near Ampang).

Now want to answer also malas.

I feel you Bro skyblu3, guess Peugeot is still relatively new (in terms of acceptance) as compared to the likes of established Japanese marques.

Back to the questions above, do you have any good shops to recommend?

Good shops as in...authorized service centres? I usually go to the SC in Chan Sow Lin.

in fact, I have 3 french cars at home. That's why i'm getting tired when ppl ask me the same question.

i just went to test drive the 208 just days ago and i'm now seriously considering on getting this as my first car smile.gif)

but since this is a conti car, i have enquiries about the maintenence costs and the general availability of spare parts.

what about 3rd party options?

Edit:
I found this! BTWE does anyone has a more comprehensive maintenece cost? im not sure if this includes labour and tax..

Might not be 100% accurate though (may 2013).

Hi 208 owners. Here's one thing I need you guys to confirm on.

Whenever I leave my car overnight and turn on the engine the next day, I feel my engine is noisier than usual and upon pressing the accelerator, I hear like additional noise that I would expect out of a diesel car. Do you guys experience this?

I have enquired with the Peugeot SC but I'm not too happy with their explanation. They tell me that due to the car being idle for a long time, the engine oil level had decreased and due to the oil not fully covereing the engine parts, the noise is more.

Hope you 208 owners can advise... smile.gif as I initially wanted to lodge a complaint.
