I have this problem too. This video says it's basically a loose connector. I don't dare to open the back cover yet so for now just pressing lightly on the back near the connector area works for me.

This tablet is still going strong. I have purchased a used 2013 unit from a member here. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

just bought screen + digitizer (without frame) from Lazada. RM67 only. Almost 2 years not switch on due to crack LCD.. hopefully can revive this tablet.

can share the link? without frame means the old frame in the tablet need to be intact /without crack?

But you need make sure your existing old frame in good condition. And you need 3m double sided tape to stick screen onto frame. I bought this

If old frame already crack... You have to buy complete screen assembly. That one quite pricey compared to screen only.

Do you have the version 2 (2013) Nexus 7? Or the old 2012?
This looks like the older version. Can I confirm?

i m having nexus 7 - 2012. Any recommended shop to repair slow charging problem. take forever to charge it

mine also. I think most probably battery almost kaput. time to change perhaps. Can DIY. Or try search lelong. Got 1 seller have shop can do it for you.

besides the battery being the problem, the old Nexus 7 usb port might also be the culprit.
i suspected mine being this case, but haven't had the time to replace that.

same case, the charging is really slow until you some how find a sweet spot to connect the usb connector, that's how i come to the conclusion that the usb connector is bad.
