Hi, got question.
I have Nexus 7 (2012) (mobile + wifi) with JB 4.3.
The ota update say latest update is 4.4.2.
Can i flash from 4.3 directly to 4.4.3 using Nexus Root Toolkit?

if u are already on 4.4.2 (KOT49H) can dl the OTA update here and flash it via custom recovery.

xda

or u can just wait for OTA.
I only use the Nexus Root Toolkit to root, I never use it for flashing, coz I tried flashing the wifi tethering mod, it soft bricked my device. sweat.gif So i use custom recovery to flash.

if urs is not rooted, juz install the ota update.

if rooted and u wanna flash it manually, I think can't. u can check is it possible from here.

xda

Just check out is there a zip flash from ur current version to the latest version 4.4.3 (KTU84L)

I think u nid to flash KOT49H (4.4.2) from JWR66Y (4.3). Then flash KTU84L (4.4.3) from KOT49H (4.4.2).

just flash the zip file. I'm not responsible if anything happen to ur device, but diz is how i usually do it.

Since ur new to flashing. U have twrp installed right?

1) If u are on 4.4.3 (KTU84L) and u wanna update to 4.4.4 (KTU84P), just download the link for KTU84P from KTU84L. Remember to download the correct 1, since there is 2 version, nakasi or nakasig.

2) put the zip file that u've downloaded into ur Nexus 7. Rmb the directory where u put it.

3) boot into recovery, twrp in ur case.

4) tap 'Install', find the zip file that u've put in ur Nexus 7. Rmb the directory where u put it just now?

5) swipe to confirm flash

6) wait for it to flash, after flashing, choose reboot.

7) updated to 4.4.4

the steps above ONLY works if

1) u are running on 4.4.3 and u wanna update to 4.4.4
2) u are using twrp as custom recovery
3) u downloaded for the right version, wifi or 3g

hmm.gif not much noticeable changes. based on google, they juz wanna fix some security issues.

Guys, I'm thinking of getting a used Nexus 7 2012 model just for simple browsing, maybe light gaming, and reading.

Was wondering if its still worth it? Saw at garage sale got some ppl selling it around RM300. Seems worth it. Or it is?

Thanks if anyone reply smile.gif

How about performance tho, it is good for any simple gaming? Game mostly from kairosoft, like dungeon village and stuff.
