Dropped Nexus 7 2012. Screen cracked and not responsive jor.

Any suggestion on what to do next? To repair or not to repair? sad.gif

1/3 of the screen is responsive. 2/3 of the screen not responsive.
What does that mean? No need to replace digitizer?

Hihi,
Yes, now working as new. ^.^

I ordered from aliexpress.com. Free delivery took about 2 weeks.

Fixing process was quite straightforward. Think I spent about an hour on it. No issues. If you don't have any tools, maybe you can purchase from supplier that bundle the tools together.
I used this as a reference:

Hi guys,
Lately my N7 2012 has been giving me ridiculous charging time estimates , e.g. 3 DAYS until full.

Does this means the battery is dead? Any way to change or repair this?

My unit is running lollipop custom ROM.

BTW, i see there is a marshmallow ASOP rom on xda, anyone tried it on 2012 yet?

Hi,

Could be issue with USB contact point. I had the issue where while plugged in, the battery was still draining. Slightly different issue from yours though but may be same problem.

I'd suggest you try installing Battery Monitor widget to diagnose.

Thanks for the suggestions.

How much would it cost to change the USB port if it is found to be faulty? Any recommended seller?
