If ur lucky, it will work, but there'll be some error. Maybe some of the function not working.

If ur unlucky, bootloop.  laugh.gif

Oh, you tested before? Confirm it won't brick the device?

lol. of coz never tried b4. It's best not to flash the wifi version on ur mobile version. Coz some files might be missing in the wifi version.

I've flash plenty of things on my N7 before. Worst case is bootloop ni, never brick it b4. laugh.gif

I already flashed the factory image. It seems the factory image only has the stock launcher from jellybean.

Feel weird at first because the notification and navigation bar are not transparent. I need to manually install the google now launcher from playstore to get the latest launcher.

Yup, that's the difference between WiFi and mobile.

Yes, factory images come with "Launcher".
Google Now Launcher is an addition, which can be found in Play Store, but not limited to Nexus devices only.
It's an AOSP Launcher actually, which have existed since Android days.
Google made Google Now Launcher is to integrate Google Now and OK Google into our phone.

My N7 2012 WIFI version was updated to Lollipop via sideload and it lags when using facebook and chrome.. sad.gif
Perhaps its time to upgrade to a better tablet since i read that it's due to hardware performance issue.

did u wipe dalvik cache?

Try to back up ur data with twrp or cwm, then do a full flash and see if it's better.

Flash with data intact? Since it's a major android update why not try clean wipe.I always start new when major update. 4.X - 5.X is a big update.Having great experience on my N4 after flashing factory image file on my Nexus 4.

Well it appears that since Material Design of Lollipop is animation intensive, it sucks more processing power which is why we see the performance degradation. Fortunately, it's not too bad.

Just sideloaded lolli. Wow I must say it feels really refreshed. Surprisingly performance is not too bad. I felt overall experience is smoother. Further testing it

You guys should try f2fs with Lollipop. The difference is night and day. I somehow feel that stock Lollipop is laggier than Kitkat.

Side load it to my n7. Everything is good though. Very smooth. Even in chrome.

Hi, i currently have the nexus 7 32GB wifi 2012 model flashed with the stock android 5.0 and while its looks pretty, i notice quite alot of hanging and stuttering during certain actions and am planning to upgrade to a newer model.

I am still undecided on whether to get the 2013 model or jump to the nexus 9 due to using the tablet for basic use and playing the occasional game and reading magazines from zinio. I prefer the 7 inch screen but i am worried that the 2013 model specs are going to be slow down the line.

It's sluggish as well for me. All that animation in Material Design is a real killer.

Maybe I should do a clean wipe and see if that helps. Hmm.

MX Player also doesn't work as well. Not yet supporting Lollipop, it seems.
