Damn
The 5.0 Lollipop AOSP build of this tablet is super smooth, unlike any other before.
Wonder what sorcery Google did to Lollipop?

You have gotten the OTA update for nexus 7?
*
Nope. This is a custom rom built straight and unmodified from Google's AOSP branch (which Google updated with 5.0 goodies few days ago). I'd say its pretty darn good.

did you get TiBa to work?

I didnt root. Only flashed it to see how Lollipop performs on the N7. But I read on the xda, it should work.

You guys should try f2fs with Lollipop. The difference is night and day. I somehow feel that stock Lollipop is laggier than Kitkat.

Hi guys,

Still on the F2FS topic.

I've read from forums that the F2FS formatting can be done via TWRP. Planning to give it a try later.

one thing tho, once this is formatted, am i only stuck to customs roms suited to F2FS only.

Also, i noticed the term: All-f2fs and some just f2fs. Any difference?

And finally, should i do anything with kernal? or leave it as is?

cheers!
*
1) Yup, you're stucked with F2FS-compatible rom only, until you format back to EXT4 (though I doubt you will because once you go F2FS, you'll never go back to anything else laugh.gif)

2) Like the name suggest, All-F2FS means all your partition is on F2FS (system, data, cache). You can also configure which partition you want to convert to F2FS. So the flexibility is there.

3) Read the OP of the rom's thread first. If the rom maker stated that its rom is F2FS-compatible, then you're fine. If else, find an F2FS-compatible custom kernel to compliment the rom you chose. M-Kernel IMO is a top choice.

Good luck thumbup.gif

Has anyone flashed the 5.0.2 factory image? Any performance improvement?
*
Yup, much improved performance. Opening apps feel a little bit faster. Overall operation is smoother so far.

just rooted my N7 to run lollipop f2fs.

is it worth going for the 5.0.2? also, do i need to un-root to apply this factory image?
*
I came from a custom Lollipop F2FS rom (Rastapop) before flashing back to stock 5.0.2. The difference is minor though i have to admit the stock one feels a lil faster and smoother.

Flashing stock image will wipe all your data, and that includes everything (pictures, videos, music, app data, root access etc)

So do a backup first ya

Hi,

How to update to 5.0.2..

Using 5.o now & my tablet always hang mad.gif  mad.gif
*
Are you on stock non-rooted? Follow this tutorial video on how to manually update to 5.0.2. Updating is easy if u know what you're doing.

Though this below video is about updating from 4.4>5.0, the procedure is still very similar for 5.0>5.0.2. Grab the 5.0.2 update zip here. And flash this zip instead using the similar step as in that video.

Good luck.

Any sifu can help? Why sending 'system' failed? I tried google-ing. Most ppl said it's cable prob, I use back my original cable, still the same. hmm.gif
*
The flash process has failed. Something to do with Google so lazy to update the flash.bat script for lollipop factory image like that la. Try flashing each image (one by one) manually instead of using toolkit. Happened to many users edi.

Follow the instructions here

Cool!
Any issues so far? Is this for daily use?
*
Only issue is auto-rotation seems to not be functioning. Other than that, all is good thumbup.gif
