Hi, i currently have the nexus 7 32GB wifi 2012 model flashed with the stock android 5.0 and while its looks pretty, i notice quite alot of hanging and stuttering during certain actions and am planning to upgrade to a newer model.

I am still undecided on whether to get the 2013 model or jump to the nexus 9 due to using the tablet for basic use and playing the occasional game and reading magazines from zinio. I prefer the 7 inch screen but i am worried that the 2013 model specs are going to be slow down the line.

Are you using the 2012 or 2013 model?

Same here, sluggish and jittery as well. If the 2013 model doesnt have this problem, i would want to switch from the 2012 to the 2013 model.

The nexus 9 is far too expensive.

Yup, now my tablet is usable, i flashed my 2012 model to 5.0 and it was slow and extremely buggy, prone to hang ups very often.

So far with 5.0.2, its a world of difference, there are some slow animations but much less hiccups.

But i do notice now that the tablet runs hotter.

You will need to flash with the official nexus ROM from google.
