Happened to me a week ago. Charge, press this and that button for 30 secs bla2, doesn't work.

Google a bit, and read that some people had the same problems. Solution is to open the back cover, unplug the battery wire, and plug it back in. It worked for me. Hope you have the same luck.

It can be scary to open stuff up, but it's simple although it can take a while to open up the back cover. Use thin plastic/unused card or something.

Unplug the cable(yellow, white, red black) and plug it back in.

my screen was cracked ....
warranty was not over..
asked retail shop and asus service center ...
both of them dont want to give me warranty ....

what should i do ?

no one will give u warranty for cracked screen through your own fault

u just gotta pay them to replace the screen for u

Nexus 7 (2012) on 4.4.4 now

I have a problem with Nexus 7 (2012). After some time of using N7, the screen image suddenly "collapse" into one horizontal thin white line and it turns into blank screen. It happens within seconds. Press the power button, it came back with lock screen displayed. Attempts to unlock screen will turns it into blank screen. Press the power button again, the lock screen came back. Unlock it, it turns into blank screen. No matter what I do, it seems to trapped in a loop.

One thing for sure, the OS did not crash but it seems like hardware problem, perhaps display. Does anyone have this problem before and is there anyway to diy fix it ?

I hardly use this tablet, mostly use for internet access and reading.

Make sure its fully charged (4 hrs) since you dont use it often. Reboot once or twice. If problem persist google the stock rom and reinstall. This is to eliminate software issues.

My N7 was running on 4.4.3 rooted. Just saw the notification for software update. I thot sure cannot wan la, since rooted liao. But I click it anyway. surprisingly it auto use my twrp to update my rooted 4.4.3 to 4.4.4. really surprise.

But then I check. Running on 4.4.4 but I lose root dy.

Mine, still not received 4.4.4, hopefully that update can fix wifi poor signal

Anyone can tell me how to activate 3g in my nexus 7 2012???
I've got the sim card inside. But the 3g just won't pop up. I only see signal.

No h signal. Only my line signal. Using umobile. I've tried with other sims. But only this sim is not working. . Others will pop up automatically.

Mine 3g 2012. rooted 4.4.3.
Got OTA update notification for 4.4.4, install & rebooted, but still 4.4.3, but now no longer hav that 4.4.4 OTA update notification

any errors while it was updating via custom recovery? or maybe u didn't install custom recovery, so fail to install?

I juz rooted mine with wugfresh nexus root kit.

how do u guys fix wifi problem?

my wifi ok je. House using TP-link modem, can detect it from outside my house and connect it. even from my laptop's connectify, I think it's doing well.

maybe master reset? not sure....

or maybe turn off ur modem, wait for a while, turn it back on.

when playing video from youtube.. and compare with my phone.. my phone can play smoothly, while nexus keep buffering (same video, same quality)
