This isnt official solution, just trying to help. He said maybe its due to the inner part of front fender hitting the car body, metal to metal, since saga has the least sound proving, the sound can actually enter the car through the door from the hole of fenders, which located near dashboard n door swing hinges which can be seen when open the door, causing the sound like metal rattling through the door.

I read up some place that 110km/hr is the efficient speed for FC for saga?

I accelerate damn slow liao...(everytime got those VIOS and myvi girls overtake me  doh.gif  ) change at 2k-2.5k RPM, but get 12km/l, how to the hell did proton get 16.6km/litre in spec sheet! i was expecting i could get 15km/hr on my one ton car...

My bro heavier Hyudai Matrix 04 1.6 Manual , 1.3Ton, can get 13km/l... shocking.gif

What FC? yawn.gif

Sometimes if travel distance long enough, 16km/litre quite doable

FLX can do

BLM also can do

Train your foot to drive more often between 10~15in/hg, u got the holy grail liao. Especially BLM/FL does not have a pre-mapped fuel regulator, better control of gas pedal will make tremendous difference compare to FLX.

What can do is open the hood, loose a bit the nuts that hold the fenders inside the hood, pull it outwards so that the inner fender wont touch the body, then retighten back the screw.

How to know, just knock or slam the fender using ur palm, not too hard, mind you :-),if there is a loud sound like metal hitting a metal sound, there is a possibility due to road undulation,it cause the sound.

I hope i convey the correct word of his. No harm try,n im sorry if this not working for u. Just trying to lend a helping hand. Bye.

hi all,its been a long time not post anything here, dunno whether this relevant or not.

i did ask my friend regarding saga pwr window rattling problem why it isnt solved yet coz still i heard on another forum talking saa pwrwindow rattling sound. he replied that he will get back to me later.

maybe due to workload n recently launch suprima,he mentioned that if its related to pwrwindow,it shud be change under waranty or those who r entitle for 10years, shud do that. he said most of the claim due to malfunction, rather rattling sound.

I just stuck double-sided foam tape on the corner of the window....voila no more rattling icon_idea.gif

Wah power..What speed you drive at highways(long distance)? i don't have the meter so cant judge, but i did drive as the least fuel to just accelerate it to 2.5krpm.

Can i ask if i am using the same foot strength on lower gears to climb hill, will it makan more fuel than using high gears(around 1.5k rpm) to climb?

yup,mr mike,u need to send it back to prtn. since u mentioned u change it in 2008, maybe its suffer the same problem. the newly design for iafm+ has a bit diff design internally,i cant remember exactly, but its to hold better thermal that may cause the problem previously. but ecu checking is recomended and tell them ur fc problem. they will look into it.

well if you're just a to be, personally i think proton sp3 is fine, or even 20k km oci.
i mean, if you can deal with some transmission lag, don't really WOT all day erry day, that shouldn't be a problem to you no?

CVT, accelerate below 2krpm will yield crazy low FC. You do not need a vacuum gauge. Just remember to release your brake pedal first when ready to pickup, once the car start creeping forward, then only u gradually apply gas pedal to raise RPM.

Me drive more than 90kph will be <15km/lit. Can't be less than 60kph or FC will also be <15km/lit. Usually around 80kph gave the best mileage. The key is your right foot. Not the RPM itself. For auto cars, when momentum decrease, your torque converter will sense it and drop gear. So, even on uphill if you don't put down your right foot trying to maintain speed, your gearbox will automatically downshift and raise RPM. Don't worry, on 4th gear 2krpm during uphill, 3rd gear 3krpm will give you lesser fuel consumption and better pickup whistling.gif

Hi, everyone rclxm9.gif A question here, I have just bought a McGard wheel lock. Did I just can fix it myself, or I need to send my car to some tire shop sifu to get the correct wheel nut torque since I don't have torque wrench?
