One thing I did find rather refreshing while on the free trial is that they don't push the full game on players. No ads of any sort, no big button saying buy me now, etc. Players are allowed to chill and just enjoy the trial game. I guess they must be very confident that players will like the game, and be willing to find out how to buy once they are hooked.

well that because
1) is not free to play, free trial and free to play are two different terminology. many confuse this two.
2) there actually a lot of restriction that make it feel more Single Player mode than being in MMO (can't use market board, can't hire retainer, limited maximum gils), you cannot reply a tell/whisper, you cannot join Free Company (guild), and many more.
3) most challenging content you can go and feel is with going Bahamut & Alexander Raid on Synching Level & ILevel.
4) Absolutely MSQ Focus, a lot of harder content are lock behind MSQs.


Once you're done with both ARR & HW content, you be left wanting more? join the current raid tier? Ultimate level raids for harder content?

it opens up a lot once you go sub as well.

Crafting/Gathering is hell in Free Trial because you can't sell your wares in market board.

Yah I do agree the trial feels more like single player mode.

well thing about this is they wont probably be able to add to your account if you already own the game. you can only try to upgrade via mog station to complete edition.

An update. Purchased the complete edition on Newegg and it works fine for my NA account. Look elsewhere if you have an EU account.

Saved about 30% off the full price. If no deal, better to just buy via Mog Station I think.

Which class should new player focus 1st? i mean those farming class, miner, fishing etc.

Ah i see, Free Trial usually only able to join one linkshell, cannot even FC. i'll try hook ya up to one tonight

Mostly just play whatever you want, this game almost everything is lock behind the MSQ (Main Scenario Quest) which only battle class/jobs can progress it.
Crafting & Gathering classes are side thing you can do anytime.

Most of all enjoy the game and it's lore stories the most. first part A Realm Reborn will be abit daunting or boring, as it is introduction phase. You're a nobody and just starting up till lvl 50.

Also ensure in the duty finder, click the cog wheel settings, tick all language.

Use auto translate for communication, ur in masamune, so more JP players here. ><

Thx for the tips, the first day i just doing random side quest, now i just following the main quest line, since like nothing much to do at this stage, not even needed to interact with other player to accomplish task =/

For free trial, is really enjoy for the single player aspect. try to play around with the auto translate chat in game, usefull when going dungeon later on at level 15+

Is that any linkshell for english speaker in msamune? like a linkeshell community, im playing like single player game lol

No one invited you to Novice Network in game? I am in Kujata but got invited into novice network and once in there the chat becomes lively with English speaking players.

When i startup my character both Tonberry and Kujata are full no longer accepting new char..

*Did a quick search, seems like Novice Network only can be invited by mentor, i dun even have chance to chat with any1 else in game yet, not to mention mentor lol

I was invited automatically by the mentor. I think they did it weekly because many players were invited at the same time. Not sure. Got to ask them later.
