Just started recently on the NA free trial account.

1. Realised my ping is quite high about 150-200 ping to Crystal data centre (NA). Is it normal?
2. What's the cheapest way to upgrade to full package? I realised that square enix website and Mogstation are their own separate stores.

Take a while and read the front page, some info still valid.

Most of us play in JP datacenter (ping ranging from 70ms to 150ms), mostly are on NA/EU accounts.

Cheapest is still from SquareEnix or other site and not Steam. Never recommend steam as is only thru steam only you can upgrade.

Mogstation is for subscription and managing only.
SquareEnix Webstore is the only for buying merchandise and the game.
FFXIV online store is their in game items store.

I think he meant your future purchase and subscription is limited to NA region only. Should be fine as long you don’t buy wrong region. Some players prefer EU region with cheaper subscription fees.

only the ARR part, the HW and beyond is amazing, thou i still stick to JP xD

Got such differences? That sounds cool. I just reach Heavensward but still staying at ARR area to clear beast tribe quests and get the master recipes. Meanwhile level up a healer and tank because my DPS already over levelled.

very different, at HW, they hired better studio to do the MSQ's voice over. even more so in SB and in SHB expansion, it get's better and better :3 thou that just my imo xD
