Hey guys, a question here.
Does it mean that all data is lost when the phone is stuck in the spinning gear condition?
Is there any method to retrieve the data?

Technically your data will still be intact because you did not perform a hard reset. Did you on auto back up for your contacts/App list/Settings to your Microsoft Account?
Please ask on Nokia Malaysia Facebook or send your unit to your nearest Nokia Care Centre for better information.

I did try the ['volume down' + 'power'] reset as well as the ['volume up', 'volume down', 'power', 'volume down'] sequence. Although I couldn't get the 'exclamation mark' indicated.

Your phone is not Malaysian's set?

Ignore that "other" storage thinggy for now.. even with your hard reset, eventually it will increase after few months of usage

Just got it need restart phone, spam searching for update, then woooolaa

does anybody notice that after the amber update, the charging process improving?

in my case, previously when the battery fully discharged, we need to wait 20-30mins for the phone to restart while charging. now no more. now the phone ON immediately upon charging.

is it just me or...?

Not sure about amber, but mine doesnt take up 20-30mins of charging time before able to ON back 5min of charging time is the least for me to start up my phone again after fully discharge

Just realised how beautiful my photos turn out even with the default camera app after the amber update. There's still a tendency to overexpose though, the photos looks fantastic on phone screen but a bit lesser on computer screen. So, i guess screen quality also plays a role. =.=

Ember update changes the original message tone?

Nokia Ringtone, SMS, E-mail alert had changed for my phone after update.

Ringtone remains the same i think, the message tone sounds like the phone gonna die anytime

Im using my own Jpop songs as alarm? Since i bought the phone last year. Same rule, 30secs/1Mb or less. If those tones appear in your ringtones, they also appear in your alarm tones, u can just choose. I have 10 tracks in the ringtones folder, i change around when i feel like it, for my ringtone and alarm tone. And every different alarm u set, u can assign a different tone.

uhh wait, it does work? previously i tried setting my own desired song, it works on my ringtone but it doesnt appear in alarm.. since then i never even tried to explore it, as i used to set alarm on my N97 instead
