imho there are few features would be good to have in ff14...you might say is a WoW alike feature but to me is quite a basic mmo feature.

- the ability to link and item in the chat box, mouse over the item name linked will have a tooltip for the item information.

- current gear comparison is only based on the stat on top such as dmg and def (if not mistaken) but it will be great if these comparison covers up the attribute stat as well. Such as Intelligent, Str, vit , dex etc. With this, highlighted new item will show a comparison against your current equipment.

question from my side, is there any possibility to set target's debuff to show only mine? i know how to track my own debuff on the target but i still prefer if only show mine.

some stuffs that I would like to discuss with you guys..

I read some stuffs bout the FFXIV combat in various sites (reddit/forum etc) some of the players feels that the combat is a bit slow.. I feel kinda the same.. the GCD is okay.. 2.5s is borderline acceptable for me.. what I think it feels slow is the auto-attack.. the pause between each attack feels a bit long.. if they speed up a bit the auto-attack I think would feels a bit different and has 2-3 different attack style.. like GW2.. in GW2 it feels just right, but it has small skill set and limited based weapon choice (and overtime somewhat repetitive).. but for FFXIV the skills set is good.. I dont have problem with it.. and combo chain is working smile.gif

what you guys think?

GCD decreases as you get more skill/spell speed. Unfortunately it takes an obscene amount to reduce it to 2.33s. (247+ spell speed iirc) or something.

I personally hate it on my CJN. Cast Stone->Aero and you're left with 2.5 seconds of doing nothing. ARCs dont have this issue as some of their skills aren't tied to GCD and that makes combat feel more fluid.

i hardly see any normal attack since keep comboing tongue.gif , but the auto attack sure is slow..im more concern about DOH, DOL is abit boring than previous 1.0..it would be better if they make it mini game for gathering and crafting

on AA, i never use it. juz spam skill since skill dmg > aa. Y u need to use AA in the 1st place. juz curious hmm.gif

Actually FF14:ARR wins in terms of graphic and storyline wise. And is player friendly (eg: easy to locate quest item, quest npc, etc)

Compare to WoW, wow have more skill to use, successful pvp implemented due to constant balancing between class. They also have more equipment to choose from (in ARR, everyone looks the same in an area). They also have better instances/dungeon to run.

The reason i quit wow is because it is so laggy, i can't even enjoy the game anymore.

I hope FF14:ARR will evolve into a better mmorpg biggrin.gif

Use AA when skill on GCD..... which happens a LOT.....
Anyhow.... when can we register the code? I thought it was suppose to be today?

well.. just to fill the GCD gap between each skill.. + the extra damage is good too.. 2.5s is long and it doesnt feels right when in combat doing nothing in that time except when doing skills.. like

if the time in between the next skills got movement attack, it will feels more immerse (?) and feels more fluid in combat.. plus it doesnt hurt to have extra bit damage ^^

imho if compare to other mmo melee class, ff14 is quite slow abit but for casters they are quite the same overall

I see.. so far only play Marauder and Archer.. Archer is pretty okay for me, since some skill nice effects and has 2 shot times on some skills (as far as lvl10)
Marauder on other hand is feels slow.. haha.. keep doing 1st and 2nd skill combo haha

For the record, GCD ticks when you cast so combat is okay for casters if you're not mashing instants.

Archers have quite a few skills independent of GCD which exempts them from this problem.

yes kinda lol.. Archer for me is okay.. since some of the skills got 2 shot (Straight Shot and Venomous Bite).. and some got owns cool down like the Misery End, and Bloodletter

I Played Marauder then feels the slowness.. (so far I played.. up till lvl10 ish me think)

Or mayb becoz of ROLE in FFX IV system. DPS = Damage Per Second, hence the low cd of skill n constant dmg pump/does.

iinm, Marauder is TANK class right? hence the slow att/high cd. because their main purpose is to tank and not to DPS.

Correct me if its not logic blush.gif

in all melee class, the fastest gcd is pug where greese lightning can reduce the gcd but in 1 condition, you must be able to maintain greese lightning buff. MRD and LCN also having the same amount of time if not mistaken even lancer is a dps class
