the point is there is no mega-to-jumbo upgrade. it simply doesn't exist at this time.

they need to allow users to migrate from mega to jumbo if they want at a fair price of rm10. like new users!

actually, u missed the chance. not mega or sports pack... u cud hv squeezed them to get JUMBO!! jumbo is most of mega+some of sports, so it is better than just mega or just sports!

think old streamyx customers same like old unifi - no upgrading available.

i hv been reading everywhere, that's what everyone is saying, just like what i was told when i called them.
no return call from unifi about that, so i guess no change from what i hv said.

after all the excitement but no way to "upgrade to jumbo with +rm10", i start to lose interest.
will probably forget about it soon...

like i said, i have given up on jumbo becos i will not pay more than rm10 to get some sports channels while ready to give up tamil n chinese channels.

i will not be "blackmailed"! there r other ways to get our fav shows n videos - androids, kodi, free iptvs, astro-on-the-go, etc.

if u need faster speed and like the extra sports channel, go for it - extra rm30 only.

as u can read, existing vip10 users not offered this hypptv jumbo pack at all.

that, as explained to me by the guy on the phone is becos of some "champion" deal that i n others are on - full vip10 price, get mega free. so, for this kind, they see my megapack as "zero value". cannot use to trade to swap/upgrade. probably applicable to those who pay full-full, i.e rm199 (or rm179?)+rm50 for mega - this one, i hv no idea how many are paying that...


all in all, it is a mess... becos they hv been doing all kinds of promotions. diff prices. diff hypptv packs. with diff agents. in diff areas. some house some highrise. some no competition, some intense competition. so.... either they can't find an amicable way of getting out of the mess or they really aren't bothered with existing vip10 customers.

i see... occ is the portal. i never used it, so tried to create an account. failed... dunno why it won't accept my customer name. may call them and ask.

i know new users and upgraders can get jumbo.

i like to ask again... becos no one has confirmed done so far:

existing vip10 user with megapack paying rm199 can switch to vip10 with jumbo by paying rm209 or not?

if u have done it or got rejected after asking them, please let me know as i really don't wanna waste time calling them again having been old NO just a week ago.

old crt tv can never get hd, whatever input.

hypptv box has component, s-video and composite output. u can use any of them, component being the best of them, composite being worst. note all these 3 outputs are as obsolete as yr crt tv.

astro should be the same - u just use other output.

u can get travelhd/luxhd... yes, u get the video, but it is not hd - becos yr tv cannot support hd, the video is scaled down for the tv. (hdtv with hdmi will have the video in hd.)

u will get the same thing for any hd channel, incl M.

channels hd or not, the video quality coming out on yr crt tv will be about the same.
