gotten my hypptv free with 8mbps ... tested it on my sis 2mbps and no lagging ...

but I only use the free channel and did not subscribe ~ coz they still dun have what I wanted to watch.

8mbps + HyppTV is ok compare to 4mbps ..
Currently really satisfied with the combination but still hope Unifi will penetrate Northern area of Msia ..

Ah crap! any workaround?

To enter the Android Recovery Mode in HyppTV set-top-box, turn off the STB by the wall plug, press the on button on the remote (of course pointing to the stb lol) and press the on button behind the STB. What I can see is simply a backup of stock firmware.

I'm on Unifi VIP5 & free channels for HyppTV & contract will end sept 2014.. i'm planning to subscribe platinum pack RM30 which bound for 1 year contract. is it worth it to take the hypp-normous deal of MegaPack + upgrade to VIP10 but contract refresh for 2 years ??

VIP5 & VIP10 really got significant different in speed ? (of course by number its 5mbps different, but i mean in reality).. and plus, to those platinum pack subscriber now, channels RTL CBS Entertainment HD and Outdoor Channel HD made available to you ? as i cannot see the channels as part of platinum pack...

RTL and Outdoor only available to Mega pack, else if you want it watchable, you can subs it on ala-carte which will be on monthly subscription.

Frankly, I don't think I need higher speed, but I guess its depends on your usage. Previously I install network monitor in my computer and android to see the speed that I am using, most of the time its much much less than 5mbps really. In my normal usage I will only reach the cap of 5mbps if I download well seeded torrent or using speedtest. Most of the time we are not really limited by the cap. Still a well seeded torrent will need say 15 minutes per series using 5mbps, so if with 10mbps assuming the time will be half, will only be about 7 minutes difference. Most of the time I can afford to wait for that. So unless you really want most of the additional channels then maybe you can consider. But hey, you can only watch 1 channel at a time, and my kids mostly want to watch theirs....

Btw, the promotion to get hypptv pack will refresh your contract back to 2 years.
