I am feel confused how to use the remote, it has 2 power on button. The right on and off between the working and standby. The left one does nothing, what is the really function actually. Still, the on/off function either from the remote or the unit itself really bugs me  sad.gif
*
The left one is for TV. You need to make it learn from your TV remove controller first. http://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/pages/about.aspx?id=1#remote

How about YouTube apps for HyppTV, does it working?
*
Yes, mine (unifi) is working well. My kids use it very often. TM if you are reading this PLEASE install parental control to block youtube (when need be).

Thanks, but I don't want to erase it, just to control the time when they can or cannot watch. Currently I control it by hiding the remote control. smile.gif

Is there any youtube app in hypptv?, I am searching for it inside the interactive menus but couldn't find it. Upon checking the website it does stated that youtube is available http://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/pages/interactive.aspx  shakehead.gif
I read STB installation guide manual page 2-1 Product Features that this unit supports downloads, installs and uninstalls android based applications  biggrin.gif is that so aa TM?
*
I think its at Interactive > Fun Zone > Youtube. But I'm not using the same STB with you, I'm using the old one.

Anyone here tried HyppTV Everywhere?

I have an Android tablet and I downloaded the app.
Once I entered my login details, all I got is the Featured Tab.
Any feedback from you guys are appreciated.  notworthy.gif
*
Can you show screenshot, and what phone you are using? You don't have the 'live tv tab' at bottom of the screen?

just got my Unifi VIP5 for 2 weeks. i could streamed for Youtube video (Funzone) initially, but now i cant seem to load them. Selected video just appeared to be loading all the time.

anyone experiencing this ?
*
Yes. Its really annoying. I try wait for 1 minute. Then if its still do not load, I switch the STB on and then off again. Seems to work but still keep happening again from time to time.

Called 100, the guy said that because my HP Slate 21 is Android 4.2, that's why I could not watch the Live TV.
I also tried on my ASUS Prime that have 4.1.1, then I could watch it.
Oh so that's why my htc butterfly cannot watch hypptv everywhere after I upgrade the firware to 4.2.2.... so are they fixing it?

i already have hypptv , im okay with local tv stations for newsfeed. i intend to move the hypptv downstairs and i been wondering if i should get njoi for RM 280 or just get a homeplug poweline adapter kit which should cost somewhere around RM 200 ++.

is njoi a better option or just stick to hypptv.
*
Hmmm if you are happy with njoi channels I'll go for njoi. Later if its raining you can always carry the tv up, or later have 2 tvs, 1 upstairs with hypptv, 1 downstairs with njoi.

HyppTV or PlayHub CloudTV  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

PlayHub seems like a normal android box but the seller also sells some premium channels... Maybe you can share more info here.

Just want to confirm with you , RM290 is one time payment for the box and the free channel and then RM17 monthly for premium channels yeah ?
The only concern is always the after sales service , I would say this product only apply in west Malaysia only ??
*
IMHO we can get those premium channels elsewhere for free with a bit extra work and tech know how, however if there are few good premium channels that you like and seller can guarantee the quality and availability, RM17 will be a good deal.

oo ok tq..
I'm on Unifi VIP5 & free channels for HyppTV & contract will end sept 2014..  i'm planning to subscribe platinum pack RM30 which bound for 1 year contract. is it worth it to take the hypp-normous deal of MegaPack + upgrade to VIP10 but contract refresh for 2 years ??

VIP5 & VIP10 really got significant different in speed ? (of course by number its 5mbps different, but i mean in reality).. and plus, to those platinum pack subscriber now, channels RTL CBS Entertainment HD and Outdoor Channel HD made available to you ? as i cannot see the channels as part of platinum pack...
*
Frankly, I don't think I need higher speed, but I guess its depends on your usage. Previously I install network monitor in my computer and android to see the speed that I am using, most of the time its much much less than 5mbps really. In my normal usage I will only reach the cap of 5mbps if I download well seeded torrent or using speedtest. Most of the time we are not really limited by the cap. Still a well seeded torrent will need say 15 minutes per series using 5mbps, so if with 10mbps assuming the time will be half, will only be about 7 minutes difference. Most of the time I can afford to wait for that. So unless you really want most of the additional channels then maybe you can consider. But hey, you can only watch 1 channel at a time, and my kids mostly want to watch theirs....

ic, thanks for the clarification  smile.gif

When I tried it last time it seems that we can use it on 2 devices at the same time. So you can install it to many devices, just that only 2 can be use at the same time. Just replace the one that you are not currently using. I'm no longer using hypptv everewhere now, since my phone update to Android 4.2.2.... tm seems to be toooo slow in catching up android updates... sad.gif

Yes, it can thru USB input
Just tested, but the interface at main menu or during media viewing is very basic, not much setting can tweak,

What file format does the streamyx STB support?
Tried .mkv, can play,
but the display setting of this top box abit off, if select 1080i or p, cannot go full screen, have to select 720p/i, you guys encountered the same thing?

Subtitle also? srt?
Tried .srt subs, can display

Surround Audio DD or DTS can?
Tried DTS 5.1 audio thru S/PDIF toslink cable output to HTS,
can output 5.1 sound but sometimes the audio distorted/ no audio after fast forward or rewind

*
Which STB, unify or streamyx? Can share how? e.g. which menu to go to?

Nah, just ask your wife/brother/etc to register for another account so you get all the stuff free. Then terminate your account. Haha.
