anyone idea whether hypp tv got world cup package?
My astro is only in the living hall and my hypp tv is in my room, so i can just wake up and catch the world cup without going down to living hall.
Afaik, World Cup currently monopoly by Assteruk. Only way to get World Cup through HyppTV is the RTM1 retransmission, and even then hope they're not forced to cut off RTM1 during world cup airing (apparently SKMM forced them to cut off RTM feeds during Piala Malaysia).
Not happy about this? It's the SKMM's fault Assteruk has monopoly protection rights from gomen...

I tried used a PC monitor last time, my monitor only supports DVI-D/VGA and connected to STB by using the hdmi-dvi converter Basically it is working outside the hypptv section, others such as setting and so on display a sharp resolution, but when I tried to run any of the channels, the PC turns blue due to out of frequency received. Either my monitor or the converter couldn't handle the frequency I am not very sure. Changing the settings to lower reso still no good. The audio I am used the modded audio jack, connected to the red and white audio port to the PC speaker.
Most monitors cannot support i50/p50 output and only support i60/p60. Problem is, HyppTV box output in i50. This is because of legacy, our country historically use 50Hz power supply. Unfortunately, most monitor is built for VESA, and VESA specification is that output must be p60 or i60 (because USA uses 60Hz power supply. While VESA is used worldwide, it bias USA).
You're better off buying a cheap 1080i TV and using that as a monitor instead.
I recall seeing a refresh rate setting in the service menu for the HyppTV box tho. If you can get into the service menu and change it to i60, then it will work.
