exactly... lots of confusion.. my side... RM 215... FREE calls maintained, now full jumbo pack... 30mbps + 5mbps... I donno why the customer service wanna create so many confusion... just standardize it...

could be due to hq giving tmpoints discretion to give discount or not.

imagine mcd or kfc... each outlet, each staff can give or not give discount?! laugh.gif

i do speedtest by using wifi, laptop. is almost 30mbps.
but the Hypptv is lag, the video is not smooth and but when watching ntv7 local tv channel no problem very smooth.
anyone got solution?
*
it is abnormal.
hypptv works smooth all the time except when channel down.
hypptv bandwidth is separate from and in addition to the 30mbps.
you should call them, report and have it checked.

Package: Mega (old pack, platinum+ruby+varnam, not available to new users)
Satisfied: Yes
Clarify a bit on satisfaction: has improved over time, the hd channels are reliable

I just recently upgraded to 30mbps package + Jumbo Pack.  smile.gif

However, I am getting all channels which includes Aneka,Varnam and Ruby pack. Are they having a promotion for all channels and if so how long does the promotion lasts?

On the hypptv experience, some channels gets frozen/lag while others run smoothly without a glitch.

As for the Unifi speed, I am constantly getting 32Mbps DL and 5.5Mbps UL
*
all channels free for 1 month for all new customers.

no, all channels should work smoothly except for rare occasions

yr speed is good, normal, enjoy!

the router plays an impt part.

if still using orig unifi router, time to change.

asus is a good choice.

no use. unifi supplied ones are mediocre, good for basic use only.

if u want better performance in stability and wifi, gotta buy yr own.

All my Chinese Channels have gone. Didn't do research properly, thought Jumbo pack covers all the channel. They took away all the Chinese Channels and replaced with Sport Channels, which I do not watch.

Will call them tomorrow, hopefully allow me to change back. Finger-crossed.
*
yes, jumbo hasn't got ruby pack.

mega has ruby but no sports.

i quite like my mega, never changed.

been using a fullHD LCD tv for many years.

just changed to a 4K UHD TV.

HYPPTV HD 1080i channels played on a 4K TV is... thumbup.gif

now i know what my old TV was missing. biggrin.gif

of course, 1080p, BDMV, Bluray and 4K material even better.

Hey, share la which model... So quick to throw your once beloved 1080p TV under the bus.. tongue.gif  It's all about the upscaling engine. Congrats thumbup.gif
*
i play mostly good hd material.
been replacing 720p collection with 1080p or bdmv.
stopped watching sd totally, collection of DVD's gathering dust. biggrin.gif
even on hypptv, i watch only the hd 1080i channels.

4k UHD is very good for hd material - yes, the upscaling is obvious. it's like watching new and better stuff.

but perhaps as an old lcd (my was 7 yrs) gets older, it loses color and clarity too - that may be another reason. so, if yr tv is old and tired, time to junk, get new!

i spent time checking sharp, samsung and lg.

as a loyal customer of sharp, i bought sharp again:

lc50ue630x
lc58ue630x

took the 50" for now. in a few years, will go for bigger when 4k becomes norm and 8k upscaling gets into the market. sharp just launched 8k.

sounds interesting... in fact,, I felt HYPPTV is much better than astro's HD stuff these days... correct me if I am wrong...
*
u mean the contents or the quality is better? i find the hd quality good (i hv the old first gen non-android stb). content wise, i only watch natgeo people, travel, bbc earth, iconcerts and red hbo - enough as i have a lot more other things to watch! biggrin.gif

u gotta get one of these 4k uhd tvs! thumbup.gif

after a week or so, i say it is well worth it - for those who primarily play HD content.

becos the clarity, details and colors are so much better with HD material, i wish i had bought a 58" instead.

but never mind... in 2 yrs time, i will move the 50" to another room, get new 65". tongue.gif

biggrin.gif  rclxms.gif Those thoughts after such purchases, to have bought a bigger screen tends to linger after one gets used to a bigger screen. We easily forget that, we used to watch a smaller screen for years. tongue.gif  Ahh, I remember battling with the decision early last year whether to get a 4K UHD TV then or not but since the particular model I had my eyes on was outside the allowed budget + I figured the up-scaling engine and PQ should only get better with time (cheaper too), decided against it and got a lovely 55" 1080p set. For the current living room, 55" is the sweet spot between small and just overpowering the room with a bigger screen. Though now like you, the sweet spot should be 65"... biggrin.gif . IMO, anything bigger than that means its no longer a living room and I might as well go all the way & carve out a media room. At least you are happy with the PQ, that's most important for a new TV owner.
*
true... "size does matter"! biggrin.gif

the sweet spot changes with higher resolution. it was 29" CRT, then 32" LCD, 42" FUllHD.

it has to be 55-65 4K UHD now. laugh.gif

really, hypptv 1080i hd channels come out marvellous on a 4k uhd TV. The food now looks more delicious, the landscapes more refreshing and the sharks more real. laugh.gif

not sure if its my STB issue or AV configuration ..

watching HD channels on hyppTV for the initial 30 secs or so would give me 1080i/60 image, however after that it falls back to 480i which made everything blurry and such sad.gif i'm currently using the 2nd version decoder ("v5")
*
check the stb settings available with yr remote.

if set correctly and still like that, call hypptv - maybe the stb is faulty.

** assuming yr TV is 1080/60 capable.

i do not know what stb u hv.

i hv an old one, 4-5 yrs old.

old hdmi cable used on 4k tv, works good, great upscaled pictures!

check all connections, swap cables.

if still no good, chances are yr stb is kaput.

hi everyone, just installed unifi 30mbps last month downstairs, any idea how to bring my tv box upstairs?only tv box for hypptv. others way rather than pulling cable upstair to avoid messy. found out they using red utp cable with spesific port, try changing the port or using wifi but cannot function. pls help, thanks
*
hypptv stb only works via ethernet, i.e. cable and at one specific port at the router.

it does not work with wifi.

i think this is becos hypptv is a dedicated bandwidth, HD and controlled.

same like astro, no wireless way.

most people will use hypptv via cable while other devices can use wifi.

so, the other way is to move yr modem and router, which means re-cabling as well...

I've tested it on a Windows desktop & the Nexus 10... Just launch the app while connected to UNIFI, it'll recognise the connection & store a "cookie" of some sort, allowing the app to remember the device. No sign up or login required. It's all done automatically. One can connect up to 5 devices in this manner. Gotta say, I'm impressed by the handling... The content & playback? Hmm, I still believe there's room for improvement.

i got it on the ipad, easy.

but no good on androidbox and pc, got this message:

WELL, THIS IS EMBARRASSING

Something went wrong with the video you're trying to watch. It'll be ready to play again once we fix the issue.

To report any technical shenanigans, say hi to the code monkeys on our feedback page.

someone said it works only on dns 1.9.1.9 or 8.8.8.8.

didn't want to bother to try too hard... like u said, not so good... biggrin.gif

upgrading/modify package so damn slow by TM... i previously subscribed to Advanced 30 with attached Aneka pack since Oct 2015(free upgrade from TM form VIP10).

Want to switch to Jumbo pack and cancel the Aneka, made a call to TM on 12 Feb 2016, confirmed the modification but till now the acc still remained the same. What the timeline for the changes to take effect?
*
The last time I made a minor change over the phone with them, it was effected in less than 2 hours.

Did you unpower the box and put on again to reset?
