Guys, is cortana coming to Microsoft tablets too? Surface RT or Surface Pro?

is there any way to clear the "OTHER"?

My others 7gb now..

before that 8.xx gb..

include temporary file 1.8Gb...

I clear temporary but still same 1.8gb.. I just uninstall my yahoo email and clear temporary

and become 50mb.. Last time I set my mail sync all time.. change to 7 days will be good.

later i try

coz after i streamed some movie

n then the apps suddenly crash

after that got warning low space



dunno what problem

maybe i'll reset la

much easier

Yah, I wonder what's the "other" part in the storage. System, Temporary data, app data are all already accounted for.

hmmpp.. now i have 1020 & 1520.. deciding which one to let go...

Updating, woohooo! The update took me like 30sec to download. Am I doing it right?

There should be 2 updates.

Took me close to 2 hours straight or was it 3 hours to upgrade to 8.1 on my 920 .... the problem was with the gears. The first update was for some sort of patch before the full 8.1 upgrade. That was like a 30 seconds download. The gears was stuck at the smallest progress bar for close to 50-60 minutes (I rebooted the phone the first time around because I thought it was stuck after seeing that the progress bar was not moving at all after 30 minutes). Someone in WPCentral mentioned that you need to wait for 50 minutes and the progress bar was wonky (no movement and then zaapp 100%), so I did just that and it worked fine.

Then I updated to the 8.1 proper ... this one took a lot longer to download (maybe 10-15 minutes) and then another hour for the Gears and then another 30 minutes for the 19 steps to migrate my data.

Very happy though, he 3 rows options in start screen is awesome. The parallax effect with the background in start screen is magnificent. The only gripe is the VPN, I use Witopia (L2TP, OpenVPN, IPSec) and none is available at the moment. Seems that Witopia will need to publish the required SSL Certificate (Like Junos) in the Windows Store.

I wish Microsoft implemented something similar to iOS .... very simple.

yea the gears was kinda bummer... i did face it too for long update times..

i dont really like the way music player work now, previous version we can slide to left and right to forward or backward the song

yea this music app now abit useless

I'm very happy with the 8.1 update.
It should have been available from the start. Could have been a game changer.
Everyone is very positive about it and gives good reviews/
A lot of people are also considering on getting a WP now.
Now for Nokia to release a new flagship to get ahead.

ya... they should step ahead faster... plus with new flagship phone launch not only from Nokia...
