Whatsapp has some bug in it for sure.
It doesn't happen all the time just sometime which is rare.
95% of the time I get all my notification just fine.

Always leave Whatsapp on the background running.
Don't close the app to receive notification.

Yeah bro we all know that.
But for those who has notification problem it is best to just leave it on.

I've been in this situation before. How long does the spinning cog happen to you.
If it takes more than 1 hour or more meaning you are in a loop.
As far as I know there is no other solution then restoring the firmware again.

You try and google things out as the problem happened to me when I was trying to clean everything clean before selling me 920 to get a 1020.
If you can't find any other solution best to reinstall the firmware and start new again

Try out all the soft reset method on google and if it fails, first try to use Nokia Software Updater for Retail. This might help you in gaining your data back since there is a firmware update. If you are unable to do so, use the Nokia suite to restore it to factory settings.

Upgraded to Lumia Black with no problem..

I can see that Sony will be another option for WP but for me la personally, i'd just stick with Nokia.
Nokia and WP8 combo is perfect for me, camera is good and phone is indestructible
Hopefully Sony can give some water proof options though. That would be nice.

Haha this is true. Before I use iPhone than I change to 920 feel so small too haha.

Yet to have any issues about dust collecting in the sensor.
Been using 920 for a year an nothing is on the sensor..
Sold 920 and got myself a 1020 and it's been like 5 months now and nothing on it as well..
