what to do? haters will always hate. frankly proton is a problematic car..but plus point they offer a good solid handling. i dont think most driver can differentiate handling characteristic. all they know is the brand..start and drive.  tongue.gif

Saw some forumers comparing Kia Rio and Fiesta to the Suprima S and comment that the Proton is overpriced because Rio/Fiesta ave 6 airbags or more as well as ESC.

They seemed so focus on the specs that they forgot Suprima is a C-segment while Rio/Fiesta is B-segment, while Forte 1.6 SX which is also C-segment is not as well spec-ed and is 4-star ANCAP.

Right now you need to pay around RM100k or more for a Korean C-segment with similiar specs.

Actually we can't totally blame them since proton didn't properly categorized their car segment since wira (maybe older).
So we know the car by names and not via segment where that includes to import cars as the brochures or advertisement didn't advertise or state it. Not all people like in lowyat forum where they know it or car enthusiast where they will check it online, that why a lot of people is ignorant and compare it via the price.

As FYI, a lot of people still said 1.6 Turbo = 1.6 NA, Not 1.6 Turbo = 2.0 NA whistling.gif

my ride also been using SD card i found it quite nice that there is no stick poping out.

i did drive different brand of cars..all cars have their plus and minus. but for proton will give u satisfaction in ride and handling department..even for cheap saga blm. no need to mod..even with steel 13" rim also can give u stable and solid handling.

From my fathers car to mine, proton (not sure how much is really proton or mitsubishi ) are very okay cars to drive. Only thing is the quality. Why some people have simple problems like shiny panel coming off (i seen on Preve) or some car got rattles or cannot turn off engine and why some people say got no similar problem. Why cant they solve it at the factory first? What about the TUV certification program?

TUV was only for the early batches of Savvy, after that no more.

CFE, Preve, Proton R&H etc. were names associated to DSZ's term as MD. Right now it seems as if DRB is working to erase his association with Proton.

Saga BLM/FLX is which segment? Some people compare with Vios (B-seg), some people say A-segment with boot.

hate to admit this is the fact. proton did produce some good cars lah... though me switch to honda. i never had any problem with my first batch blm till now. handling was superb and i totally enjoyed that apart from the fuel consumption...probably the selling price does not justify the cost price which is overpriced....

yep..proton really did a good job with blm. blm/flx have a bright future if they manage to make it more comfortable (extra sound proofing).
