got the job. but i just reported for duty in another govt statutory body few weeks ago.

gotta think hard whether to jump ship or stays...

darn its hard to make decision. have been unemployed long enough while waiting for my convocation last year, and now these job offers came almost at the same time...

if we can choose our placement upon finishing the cadet-ship, maybe, just maybe its worth the try. else, would prefer to remain where i am now...

It's okay. At least I don't have to go through the 6 months intensive training at INTAN!

stat body career progression might be slow due to being a closed service. and also chances of moving around is none.

i rekomen u accept ptd post and go thru the 1yr course. 99% u wont fail unless some major discipline problem. considered you're edi in the service once u accept the offer.

PTD is a very prestigious job in the public service. Who knows you may end up becoming the next KSN (Ketua Setiausaha Negara) ?

mega misconception. no more prestigious. in fact we dunno if the nxt KSN gonna be a PTD or not. policy changes over time.. like how KPM's KSU II is a former prof.

if u think promotion fast like last time, pls throw that thought outta the window. 5yrs pun belum tentu can naik pangkat. but the specialty of ptd is the wide area of job scope. u can choose alot of fields to work in.

The word prestigious here is a subjective matter. I say it is prestigious because you get to plan and implement the policies. I did not say anything about fast promotion. Promotion is based on seniority in the govt sector.So that's why some may take up to 10 years to get promoted or will not even get it because the other person who is holding the post may keep it until he/she retires.

u can even plan and implement policies in different schemes. haha. all civil servants play a role in planning. but yea, ur right bout promotion is somewhat based on seniority. if the person on top of u retire, baru u akan naik if u intend to stay in the same dept.

Shall I say there are 703 candidates pass the interview? based on the following paragraph.

Mesyuarat Suruhanjaya Bil. 4/2015 telah membincangkan dan meluluskan pelantikan seramai 703 orang dan seramai 682 orang pegawai telah diberi pengesahan dalam perkhidmatan dan pemberian taraf berpencen. Manakala, tiga (3) orang pegawai telah diberi pelanjutan tempoh percubaan dan tiga (3) orang telah ditamatkan perkhidmatan.Selain itu suruhanjaya juga telah membincangkan dan mempertimbangkan dua (2) kertas tindakan tatatertib, satu (1) kertas Lembaga Rayuan Kenaikan Pangkat dan dua belas (12) kertas Lembaga Rayuan Tatatertib.

700 new ptd with salary estimate at least 3k. thats additional 2.1million of public money to be spend monthly. i hope those selected will perform your duty honestly and always remind yourself to do this for nation and its citizens. my mum works in INTAN and lately she can see many new PTD in training is rude, berlagak, lupa diri and many other negative thing. i hope anyone here selected do not become like the one she mentioned. respect others and you will be respected.

additional 2.1 mil but did u take into account the amount of officers pensioning, especially JUSA level? so it kinda balanced it up.

have u also consider their pension money?

pension is like 3/5 on your basic not inclunding allowances. so almost 60% of a persons salary will be cut. that saving of 60% can easily cover 2 m41's officer salary. u do the math. not including savings from so many other schemes and T&T cost cutting measures.

Pelantikan of 703 there means pengesahan perlantikan for currently in service civil servants and not referring to ptd intake. Btw i also tidak berjaya 😭
