Hi there ultra user. Just wondering. I rely heavily on note taking ability of note 2. If i decide to move ship to z ultra, would it be a 'smooth' transition for a note taking person like me? Thanks in advance.

no, ultra main function is not note taking,
some light note taking no prob, but heavily i dont recom at all
ultra is a beast at screen, and speed. and waterproof xDD

It wont be smooth
You will regret a million times thinking it can replace note2
It is hopelessly inaccurate, darn slow n frustrating using it. Taking short notes is ok but DEFINITELY not extensive note taking. I guaranteed you will want to smack or throw the phone on the wall if you continue doing such. Nothing beats Note2 spen writing accuracy, smoothness

I was just about to complain regarding the handwriting on this XZU. sweat.gif not very responsive, I thought it might be due to screen protector, so I removed it, wasted only.

Thanks for the input. Will wait for note 3 then...thought of wanna jumpship to ultra coz of the screen real estate and imagining writing a 'long' meeting minutes on it would be a breeze.

The display carries a slight yellowish tone and one cannot adjust it unlike the Mate ( you can scroll from bluish to yellowish). Personally I prefer bluish tone like Samsung phones

Ic.. Ya me too, I prefer colder tone, or just natural.. I still think HO display the best to my liking now.

After having this XZU, I appreciate the curvy back of the Mate, actually it's easier to hold the Mate than XZU, holding XZU feels quite flimsy and slippery. I still think the Mate is a very good device and considering I bought it way cheaper than XZU, it is awesome. I'm still trying to figure out what are the advantages of this XZU compared to Mate, except the slim figure.. Then will decide which one to keep and which to go

It's been researched that the blue hues in smart phones is the main cause of my people have difficulty sleeping at night after prolonged use of their smart phone or tablets in the evenings and prior to bed. This effects both adult and children alike.

Apparently, the blue spectrum in electronic devices is the culprit.

There is an app called Twilight, which automatically give your phone a red hue from dawn, relaxing the eye muscles. I've been using it for a few days and I must admit, its less strenuous and glaring comparatively. Try it, its got rave reviews at the play store too, and it gives a good research and references to backup their case

Hi all. I got my Ultra on the day of the launch. Received the free gift pack. But LOL! Got a bright red case! Up to this time, I am still attempting to change it to black. Frankly, does Sony ever research whom the majority of the Ultra could be? or their target market? The red case is definitely not suitable for a professional who uses it primarily for work; like myself.

In my opinion, it is a good device but there are a few hiccups that I have come across. I synced the device with my car HiFi unit.Ran Waze and Walkman simultaneously and the device hung up on me frequently. I also noted that placing the device at the centre console near the gear shift caused interference; music and voice breaking up. BTW, I am driving a Toyota Prius. Placing my Samsung Note II doesn't seem to create the same problem. Oh! the screen is barely legible when the device is placed on top of the dash.

more update to follow.....

Not sure about better but definately more vivid. I prefer more accurate colours which mimic the original subject.
