I have rooted and installed TWRP recovery on my friend's Lenovo P780 (MTK 6589) and installed Life V0.5 ROM. Now he want his phone as came out box. I mean TWRP removed and with stock firmware installed with stock recovery. So I googled about it and found about ODIN. I don't know if I can do it with ODIN or it is just for Samsung devices? Please provide me a link to noob friendly guide to remove TWRP recovery and Lenovo P780 stock rom ( S110-S115). Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Or Flashing stock rom with Flash tool will install stock recovery too?
*
Yeah use SP Flash tools its easier ..

I'm having problem uploading picture to facebook. Just realised this because don't really post that often on Fb anymore. :-P I'm using Fb beta BTW. Can anyone confirm this whether this is a phone problem or Fb app problem? Thanks in advance. :-)

Sorry for noob question, will it remove TWRP and install stock recovery too? Please give me link for Lenovo P780 stock rom (S110-S115).

P780 S116 rom .. the latest is S119 .. but need to flash with stock S116 first, then update it using recovery

Russian Lenovo site .. you'll need to create an account .. use google translate the page .. and answer the security question with russian language (google translate it, copy paste the russian words)

wat is your cleaner % usually?
mine was 46%, then 5x %, now it kinda 72% Lol
Any idea how to reduce it? Suggestions?

P/s: Battery is close to epic.... whole day moderate to heavy use , only use about 35-45% only (daily a little over 6hrs display time)
Lastime I was on S2 1650mah, Asus PF2 2140mah....I charge daily almost 2 full cycle or more , on the S2

I just like to share my experience getting into uncalled stress moments ago... Luckily restored via nandroid backup.
First of all my p780 rooted, on stock rom with TWRP recovery. I guess I'm lucky having phone w/o issue for all this while until moments ago when I tried to restore fonts in 'ROM Toolbox'. My phone went to bootloops after reboot. Done wipe but still bootloops so I finally did system restored which I luckily done 4 days back.

Red button at d back did cut off power and so able to restart phone. It won't reset this phone as claimed by someone here sometime ago.

Just sharing so others know that ROM Toolbox could cause bootloop if u r not careful. And if it does, very likely u need to do nandroid restore.

Btw, If I'm not mistaken someone here did say that CWM for P780 can't do nandroid backup. So I guess TWRP is a better choice.

yes, the button does not perform factory reset on the phone.
the button in fact, just cut out the power, to power off the device, incase bootloop, hang etc.

thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif Sony Xperia SP also has a non detachable battery...
they have have a reset button on the back of the phone, at the bottom center...
most of the phone has method to force restart them when u have a non detachable battery...
do not worry on those reset button, if it wipe all the data they will not ask u to press it when u wanna detach ur SD...

Guys, one thing I like to ask is regarding this phone stock ROM. If not mistaken its S115_130807 rite? But its nowhere to be found on net to download if need to flash back to ori stock when need arise like to send back for wsrranty etc.

xMika guide was to flash S116 which not our ori stock. Sure Svs Ctr will know the phone ady rooted and flashed to non std ROM. So how? Any work around?

This Q is bugging me for long time but nobody here able to provide definite answer. All was told to flash S116 stock etc. which is easily noticeable.

Begging Sifus reply...

Oh.. btw if its via android backup I ady knew that. What I really need is to get back to ori recovery. Currently on TWRP.

Bro xMika, just a suggestion.. If u ady dl those roms, I'll appreciate if u could upload and share links here. Surely many here will benefit from it.

How to know which latest stock rom? Bigger S###?
Maybe this has been discussed but most forum relating to P780 were non English so I zero.Mind sharing..?

Thanks in advance.
