I port to umobile from maxis and use it 2 month.
Now I port back to maxis. Why?because umobile coverage is not really good.
For me,coverage is quite important.U mobile speed is good if got coverage.
But the speed become slow compare when I first month use it.
And a lot of place didn't lte.3G full bar also cant connect internet.

I think digi got good coverage compare to umobile.Although maybe the speed will slow than umobile.

For me, why I need data, because I want use the phone to connect internet when I outside.
So the coverage and speed both quite important.

if that is the case, getting friendi would be the better choice. Friendi uses U Mobile's network and if you make a call/sms then the validity will be increased by 2 months, which is good for your parents' usage laugh.gif

RM5. It depends on what did your parents do to extend the validity.

Calls(on net): RM0.18
Calls(off net): RM0.18
SMS(on net): RM0.04
SMS(off net): RM0.08
Reload(min RM3): RM3 and above

I can't recall the credit inside when you first got the sim but let's say you reload RM5. If your parents make one off net SMS every month to extend their validity(two months is a bit hard sometimes, they will forget of whether they need to text for this month or not sweat.gif ), it would take:

12 months x RM 0.08 = RM 0.96, like 1 ringgit yearly commitment? laugh.gif

your annual commitment would be 36, 41 is for first year only. Anyway, if you're scared of them forgetting and they are using an Android phone, you can install a sms scheduler app in it to auto send a sms every month icon_rolleyes.gif
