Umobile will use maxis sites for 3G except
some location where umobile will use their own sites.
Umobile will use their own network for 3G, at any location within malaysia

The difference between sites and network is....
We can trace umobile number in maxis network when they are in 2G mode but not for 3G..

It seems like the UMI quota checking is only available for UMI48 *ONLY* and I'm not aware of it as I'm using UMI48 right now

Actually when I just pit in my sim card I got a configuration message bla bla, then I checked my balance and I only saw RM3.10 but I didn't use data at all.... After that I did the above paragraph.....

probably that the configuration is to download the U Mobile's network settings so you've downloaded it?

anyway, go and drop by to your nearest U Mobile Store and ask for an explanation.

UMI quota checking is available for all (UMI18 , UMI28 , UM38 , UMI48)
However , to check data usage is chargeable. Only check call & sms usage are free

Why UMI48 got high speed while the rest not ?

That is if you use the app. For UMI48, you can use *118*2*3# to check the balance but it is only for UMI48 *only*(that's what the Android dev told me, I'm using UMI48 now so I can't check otherwise)

yeah, i cant check data usage on USSD,
using umi 28 here..

basically i just use the data for whatsapp outside wifi area,
if got wifi i will turn off data,
my wifi always on..

how do i check that my data quote has additional 250mb from autobiling?
i used *118*2*3# and it still shows 1gb (for u28plan).

well, USSD was not implemented for WP7, and WP8 is still quite new, so I don't think that there'll be much USSD related apps at the Store

3 ways:
1. SMS: Key in "DATA"(without quotes) and send to 28118
2. UMB: Dial *118#, Select & Select
3. Connection Manager: Click Data Usage Button

yes, i used that method. it still says 1gb although i'm very sure i've activated autobiling. will it ever update to show 1.25gb on the phone or umobile not updating that system?

Yep will do so.just pay the bill,they always took more money from me haha..
The bill is rm45.65, they will round off being 46..sigh...
