reformat, reinstall

I thought since windows xp even retail version will have this problem if you did not deactivate it properly before changing mobo. My old mobo cant even boot up so cant deactivate my windows 8 properly.

Looks like it has come down to that.

Look on the bright side. It happen before winter sale.

and after summer sales.

My work stuff is inside and im gonna lose my past few day's work.

repairing PC 101: if everything else fail, format. if still fail, get a hammer.

Then, need to buy a new PC then.

For work use cloud storage like dropbox or boxbee. IF anything happen, I can still access it from pc or mobile device.

Always keep a copy in an ext HD or thumb drive. >_< Things get corrupted all too easily these days.

I have my own backup HDD, it just that this time round, I didnt have the chance to upload it to the server before this thing went to crap.

Take out the HDD and put an usb enclosure and see if you can recover your work files from another computer?

I am looking for an antivirus that might run on Windows Repair tool before i bring it to other PC to recover my files. Dont think i want to infect other PCs.

take out hdd
use ext usb casing
copy the files out using another computer..
I think u can still access the files, just that cant boot windows
data files shouldn have virus anyway

or find a Mac or Linux computer that you can borrow...
