Just sell it cause i dont see the point of crafting badges. You arent getting much from it to be honest.

The price of cards are definitely on the rise now.

Good. I might be able to sell my stuff soon. Give it a month or 2 to recover to higher prices.

Well, i just went to the Market and buy a Bastion one for 8 cents.

There is a very nice Borderlands 2 one with its price dropping. Kinda want to get that if its like 10 cents.

I doubt it will drop to even $5 in the next coming year.

Still, XCOM:EU is a game that i had enjoyed a lot, so i actually dont mind paying more for it.

xcom eu took how long to plunge to 9.99 bux?
I think games nowadays price drop very fast. as attractive as it may seems, it is quite scary to preorder at the same time
*
About 1 year but i dont mind preordering good games if the company has earned my trust or has an extensive Beta. 2K has been consistently releasing some decent games so far while their preorder offers has been quite good.

QUOTE(Boldnut @ Jul 24 2013, 10:57 AM)
it will reach 7.49 eventually on steam store & $4.99 outside steam store = take CIV 5 for example.  brows.gif

I doubt publishers wants their game price to drop that fast.

It feels like only 2K and Square Enix is doing this, while the rest arent.

Then, power to you then.

I aint gonna wait for every game to be $5.

Cheesenium, the large backlog is our only reason we dont mind waiting.  smile.gif

I have a large backlog while im still stuck in Pandora but it just felt wrong to hope for every games to drop to $5.

As much as i hate most publishers, I still think from time to time, good games from proven developers should be rewarded by preordering their games.

Transistor and the next XCOM expansion is a must preorder for me.

For me, my rule is:

- The master rule, it just depends on whether i want the game now or not. If i want to play it now, i'll probably buy it like GRID 2 while the developers has to gain enough confidence from me via marketing. While COH2, it felt a bit of a step back from CoH1 and I dont exactly need a RTS that time, so its a sale game.

Didnt bought Dust: An Elysian Tail too, cause i dont really need it at the moment, as im stuck in Pandora.

- Indie games, if the game developers is unknown with a genre that i never really enjoyed, wait till sales then. However, if the game is made trusted and proven developer such as Super Giant CDPR or Iron Clad, day 1 purchase.

Then, if the indie game has an extensive beta, not demo "beta", like Divinity Dragon Commander, then the game can be considered to be bought day 1 as it has been quite fun to be honest while the devs cared about their game a lot. Seems like there is some nice genre mixing too.

- Major publishers wise. If its EA or Activison, avoid it if possible as they only cared about money. Blizzard might be given exception if the upcoming product fixes whats wrong with the vanilla games, like Hearts of the Swarm. Highly doubt the trainwreck called Diablo 3 can be salvaged.

If its publishers like Stardock, Sega, Ubisoft, Deep Silver or Square Enix, depending on my interest to specific games, might pre-order or wait for sales. The Crew is a definite preorder as it looks like TDU with customisation, provided no always online but Watch Dogs, I'll wait for price error or sales.

Lastly, 2K games and Bethesda, since their Dishonored, Skyrim, XCOM and Bioshock Infinite, i consider them as trusted publisher as they do care about making good games as mentioned in a few articles in the media despite its mostly PR talk, not just for money alone. Might preorder their upcoming games like the invitable XCOM game(not The Bureau) or next single player Elder Scrolls. If not, just buy their games on a sale, like Brave New Worlds as i dont play much Civ 5.

- Kickstarter games, if the idea is something i really missed while the developer has the skills or shipped products, like Planetary Annihilation, Limit Theory and Project CARS, i'll back it right away. Also applies to developers who actually have an actual playable (broken) alpha available despite the game looks fun.

If the developer is from someone that i never heard before, like Big Robot of Sir You're Being Hunted, Battle Worlds and Satellite Reign, I might back it with the lowest tier available as to me, its a message to developers that i want their idea to be made.

If its nonsense like Heavy Gear (F2P mech game with also a story based campaign making a kickstarter campaign) or Project Godus (Peter "Overpromised and Overhyped man" Molynex), hell no and i'll GFTO.

games i pre ordered.

discount -10% plus 4 pack:
- borderlands 1
- left 4 dead 2
- bioshock 2

green man gaming discounts:
- deus ex human revolution 28.80
- dead island 30.xx

gamers gate price error:
- dishonored from beth pack 28.xx (though the sales from other games in this pack covered this cost. sweat.gif)

Most of the games i preordered turn out to be alright, except Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3 and Mass Effect 3. Thinking of those 3 still make me butthurt.

what's wrong with GW2? heard only good things about it and the price hasn't dropped below 40% of the original price.

P.S. yet to buy as don't have time for an MMO right now.

Its just me.

MMO is just a genre that i just cant seem to enjoy without forcing myself, along side with sports games like FIFA and NBA.

I still very much want to pre-order GTA-V.. want to join the community at launch just tat dono got time to play or not by tat time

Thats why now i only limit myself to one new AAA release per month. Not point getting any more than that as only one will be played at the end, while the rest will be backlog.

I didnt buy anything for July, eventhough CoH2 is out that month.

Then, Steam sales came and i ended up with only a few new games like Sim City 4 and KKND and also some DLCs.

August, there is 3 games i want: Divinity Dragon Commander, The Bureau and Saints Row 4. HhHHHrgrrrggrggrgrhhhhhhhhhh

Have to pick one. sweat.gif

Divinity .. Jet Fueld Dragon make me hesitate a bit..

don't forget u got http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/5lives...timonster=users

btw any worthy kickstarter projects?

Played the beta and it feels like a nice blend of genres where they mixed RPG, RTS and third person dragon flight in one game. At the same time, the campaign looks great as it touches on more mature decision making like death punishments on warcrimes and so on where it actually felt like you are running a government. The RTS side is a bit weak to be honest but its till good fun to command your army then press R to fly in a dragon for some hit and run as there arent many games who do that.

Dunno about Satellite Reign as im quite unsure of the game at the moment. The whole campaign isnt very convincing while after problems after problems with other kickstarter projects, im a bit hessitate to back this one, as they dont actually had developed anything on the game.
