Based on what I read / gather from the web, GR are differentiate between:

a) field or show type
QUOTE
'Show' dogs tend to be bigger and stunning looking -  it has a bulkier body and also a heavier more luxurious coat, as the beautiful coat presents a wonderful sight as the dog is gaited around the ring and the crowds always cheer for this breed.
'Field' dogs are smaller, more lithe, faster and has lesser coat than a 'show' dog, since it is widely believed that a smaller dog with less coat is a much more efficient dog for the job which it was originally intended - as a water and land retriever which is powerful enough to bring back a heavy game bird and yet small enough to travel through heavy thickets without impediment.  The typical Retriever that is bred as a field dog is indeed of lighter bone and therefore faster on its feet than the Retrievers bred for show and more able to quarter the ground effortlessly when searching for the downed bird.
b) "English" or "American" type
QUOTE
The "English" type varies from 'cream' colour to 'mid-gold', is heavier boned and a little less tall or lanky; this dog is blocky and square in head and muzzle.  Think like a  Labrador,  but with longer hair and a more laid back temperment !
The "American" type dog is a bit taller, softer in the head and muzzle, and varies from 'mid-gold' to 'copper' colour, but is never 'cream'.
Think Setter - ish.

Hope this answer your question. smile.gif

Zinpro treat good ar? Does it really helps in shedding?
Saw it in a petshop - promo price somemore, but don't dare to buy. tongue.gif
Do let me know if the treats help coz I am thinking of buying it for shushu.
He is currently shedding heavily - I think he is changing fur - his coat is turning darker now.
Everyday, I pick up dust bunnies from the floor.... rclxub.gif

Hmm, I haven't try back to basics dog food before.
Saw this in the same petshop, but I didn't buy it since it has ground corn as part of its ingredients - I don't know whether my dog is allergic to corn or not.

hmm, maybe I will get a packet to test on shushu...
Then we can compare results better. How long is Tammy on Zinpro before you see any result?
I saw 2 types of packaging (different colour) for zinpro treats, which one you bought? unsure.gif

My GR is actually a mix - the dam is brownish, lanky and with longer muzzle while shushu sire is creamy in colour, taller and stockier with square muzzle. I would say shushu follow his dad's size but has his mom's beautiful eyes. smile.gif

I got the salmon and potato one.... the ingredients are ok, no corn but got wheat lah, which is ok since biscuit. 1 biscuit for 16kg of body weight. Tammy has been on it for 3 weeks already.... so I also not very sure is Zinpro giving her that effect but the website for Zinpro said that it helps lessen shedding and skin problems.... Tammy gets 2 biscuits a day.... she is about 27kg I think....

Oh, shushu is about the same weight too, so 2 biscuit a day also.
I think wheat should still be ok - I am currently giving him mother nature treats which contains wheat as well. Actually, I like mother nature's treat - they smell very nice.....kekeke, sometimes I also feel like eating also. tongue.gif
I will go and look for it maybe on this friday. Need to replenish my pet stuff this week. smile.gif
