QUOTE(fulat @ Jun 22 2006, 10:05 PM) that's why.... never get AP set... thier uncertain warranty issue will make u pay more than an ori set at the end because u wanna save 1 - 2 hundred. buy ap and being a smart consumer is diff thing ler. not all AP buyers faced the same prob also. u need to negotiate with thm for terms and conditions. and dont always go alone. tats their tactic. and best if u know a friend who used to buy it frm thm thn ok. or go survey around bfr settling with one dealer.. all those can safe u allot of time and energy.

QUOTE(Demon_Eyes_Kyo @ Jun 22 2006, 11:05 PM) Fulat, the w810i thread states that it can stand at least 4 days with normal usage, ie making few phonecalls and so on. If not used at all, the battery could last around 6 days. All the sets should be the same then. NOw way some can last that long and some can last only 2 days. Ladywinter, your set is ap or midlands? if ap set i hear they will charge for repair at the authorized service center. Not quite sure though. Better get it fixed. I wanted to get AP earlier too, but my dad bising, he say buy so expensive stuff better make sure have proper warranty Jake_male, can u give us some details regariding ur phone repair? As in whats the actual problem with it. The bug is software bug? No, I don't think it's the software bug because they do take out the phone casing. But then, I'm not sure what they did. When I take back my phone, their technician out for lunch, so I just take back the phone only. Before that, the battery only can last 13-15 hours and I'm not using the phone at all. Now with heavy usage, the phone still can last for around 35 hours. So I think they solved the problem ready.

Oh yeah, the software version is still the same as before---R2T002. So I don't think they flashed a new software.

So I also worried the phone still acting the same after repaired. Everyday pray-pray during my phone is there.

I think I will tkae my hp to repair, but i really need to make sure after repair the problem sure can solve.. but again.. u have to take note that Sony Ericsson Authorised Service Center will not provide any repair protection for u. like me... if they can't fix it... they have to give me a replacement unit immediately they have buffer stocks. this is what i like about getting an Original SE malaysia set. non of my close friends get AP anyway... and i always advise them not to...

Aiyo... think this new one also same problem, just now changed full at 11pm, then now 3am i didnt use my hp at all, it decrease to 90% already.. I think they might have lotta faulty sets in hand. BTW thanks to jake_male for his info, now i am very very sure it is problem with the phone hardware. Regarding Midlands and AP, depends on user la, some might wanna get it cheaper, some prefer safety measures. But if u get ap and you are unlucky, anything can happen. For something that cost so much, I feel it should be better if you people get a midlands set. Always think about the worse case scenario first, lol. Lady winter all the best in ur phone repair.

Got Jawi on the W810i meh? Interesting... If got Japanese language and input then its really interesting (if somebody can tell me where to get it, if it exists)... QUOTE(jake_male @ Jun 22 2006, 10:28 PM) btw, in some net forum, i found some people mentioned W810i battery life is shorter than W800i, don't know it's true or not. Unfortunately, yeah... It's common consensus now on the net, the W800i has a longer battery life then the W810i... But, shorter battery life = 13 hours of MP3 listening - I'm not really complaining... Hi Eiraku, you currently using w810i ? May I know normal usage (without listen mp3) can last at least how long? Thanks.

Well according to one of the Service Center technicians, w810i firmware still not stable. Therefore, the battery issue maybe caused my the firmware itself.

Actually, I've never really had a day when my W810i's music player is not on all day long... So I really wouldn't know for sure... But net reviews and forum threads generally say the the W810i battery lasts about 3-4 days on normal usage, a bit shorter then the W800i... Sorry I can't be of more help...
