Yeah, that's an effective way to save your battery from being flat.

Good idea but if using lowest brightness is it enough under sunlight? Won't it be difficult to read?

at last i manage to find the thread at china forum.... tat they mention conclusion both is same quality tat made in korea is from LG factory and asembly at china and made in china 1 is at sony factory and asembly at china .......

给大家讲一下目前用在索爱W800、K750、W550、K608上900mAh的 BST-37 型号锂电池的批次差异。
目前大家可能会发现，同样买的W800、K750等机器，有的带的电池是 Made in Korea Finished in China （韩国制造，中国组装）； 有的标： Made in China Finished in China（中国制造，中国组装）。而且同样是标 BST-37 型号。 有什么区别呢？
就这个问题，我特意咨询了给我提供电池货源的索尼爱立信北京生产厂相关部门的负责人，具他讲，标韩国制造的，使用的是LG电芯，由LG在釜山的工厂把原料发过来，在大陆进行外壳封装，标识粘贴，标中国制造的，使用的是由Sony中国有限公司授权的工厂使用Sony的电芯，然后同时封装外壳。封装厂都在深圳，据说这个厂子还同时给LG、NOKIA在国内提供电池生产和封装。

关于使用上的差别，这个负责人对我讲，他们进行了多次老化实验、充放电实验、耐力实验、待机实验、播放实验等，结果是两种电芯的持续放电时间，上下误差不超过3小时，重复充放电次数都能保证在350次以上（放电损失不高于15%）。两种电芯的性能，互有上下，每批的测试数据都不完全一样，但根据每批2%的抽测比较，平均水平都是一样的。

综合上面的测试结果，他们得出的结论是两种电芯，没什么区别，成本也相差无几，但有一个区别：韩国制造的外壳无标识的银色面封装的外观不太平，纵列有两条平行的大概长4毫米的痕迹，而中国制造的无此情况。

ooo, i see. So they are actually the same la....so is that mean that we don't need to worry about "Made in Korea Finished in China" or "Made in China Finished in China"

is really dissapointing on this issue...Sony say they would tackle this issue yet until now, i do not see any counter measure...i guess there is no point buying from authorized distributer if the battery is changed as now no one is 100% sure how to check battery for originality...what is even worse you only notice after few months or after the warranty is gone....

Yeah, i am looking forward to see SE reply on this. Seems like kaichiat82 still haven't got any reply.

how about BST-33?
Is it the same way of checking for originality?

I just bought a k750i (Ori Midland Set) from low yatt plaza about 1 week ago.

My battery looks exactly like the AP battery but it has a Midland sticker??!

Also my batt says "Made in Korea Finished in China"....does this mean I was just ripped off?
