Ehh..am manually update using MobileOdin Pro.
Download the firmware from Sammobile then manually flash it via MOP. No need PC and doesn't lose my root or my data.

Actually whether data gone or not depend on the firmware itself. Some firmware will wipe all apps and data. Some firmware not.

You need somebody else to download and tell you whether that firmware wipe or non-wipe..lolz

its best to do full wipe.. so you get like a new phone.. hehe

So my phoned died today. Factory reset or what doesn't help. It just stuck at samsung galaxy s3 screen. What in the world is the problem?..sad..it has only been a year

Can't. My phone now showing firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I went over to samsung service centre this afternoon and they tried to do factory reset/software reset and they said can't. Probably the mainboard or something got roasted.

I tried connecting to kies on my laptop and run recovery mode, but it says I need the code. I don't have the code, any other way?
