ok. what da crap are you talking?

others can play on Athlon64 2800+ with 7300GS. and I've used Athlon64 2800+ on SupComm as well.
*
I have tried it on my current com with a AMD Athlon 3200+,it lags with more than 50 units on screen and that the lowest possible setting. Now,you expect a P4 HT 3.0GHz to run Sup Com smoothly.I doubt that it will be much better than what have i seen on my com.

Besides,im not expecting to have a 4 on 4 battle. That might require a quad core or something better.I just want a smooth gameplay for a 2 on 2 match and in campaign.

If my current rig can run smoothly,i would have bought it months ago not now when my brother just bought his C2D.

my single core 3000+ (overclocked to 2.5Ghz though) play it nicely even with most graphic setting on high. no lag until 1000+ units. try new patch, improve performance a lot.

i just try this game last weeks after trying the demo months ago. huge improvement in performance thumbup.gif

is't SupCom natively support multicore? why need additional patch?

@toughnut,
A single core can run this game well? How you do it?Teach me please without OC-ing my AMD 3200+.Which patch did you apply? Is the official GPG's patch?

It was laggy as hell in demo and thats the reason i drop this game.

The performance in the final game is MUCH better than in the demo (Gets better with the latest patch)... Plus, its not really a bother in MP games since the game is slowed down instead of turning into a slide show (Well, it does when it gets REALLY hectic).

well that surely is different compared to what you said earlier....

Sorry, your rig cant run Sup Com.You really need a C2D to run Sup Com.

smile.gif "can't run" and "can't run smoothly" has totally different meaning.

what you can do is play at lower resolution and details, still can work. i used it on my 6800 Ultra and Athlon64 2800+@2.3ghz before, works ok.

for the past 2 days i've spent 8 hours on it.

here's the thing. i played Hard mode on Cybran campaign. Enemy unit comes in hordes, quite a few times my commander died due to my "exploration" tongue.gif i spent at least 20 hours on hard mode.

easy mode. hrmm. i started this morning and finished it in around 6 - 7 hours. that also i was being paranoid and build lotsa lotsa lotsa stuff. smile.gif

I did that with the lowest possible setting and it still lags to a slide show when there are 300 units on screen fighting each other.

I think i'll just get this game and find some way to make it run smoothly on my old rig and at the same time, enjoy a larger battles in my brother's C2D when he's in school.

Besides, any tips to make this game run more smoothly on my current single core, other than patching and upgrading?

Ahh you should watch some replays normally a game takes bout 15-20 min and for a 2 v 2 30-35 min.

surprisingly my trusty old Pentium 4 2.4 @2.53 (socket 478) with 1 gyg ram + 1600pro agp can run this game at the lowest resolution (1024). I tried skirmish on the smallest map 1vs1ai and it runs pretty well, no lag at all, and then currently in campaign 2 everything seems fine. cpu temp not more than 50deg. I've built hundreds of units too just to test got lag or not, so far so good. hopefully it stays that way since im just started
