I get from PE Mutiara Damansara. Standar-ler, smart tag, tint voucher, flash light and i want the wind visor(he offer cheap plak steering lock, i dun wan).

Yar-loh, doesn't makes sense. Just introduce new lite model and discount immediately?? Then they should have just sell it at 30K to begin with.

Anyway, i don't think there'll be price drop for Savvy Lite even after Persona came out. Only possible is that M-line and H-Line savvy will be sell for 3K cheaper as permanent price.

Next year, when BLM 1.3 came out, i suspect there'll be further drop for Savvy.

Anyway, it's good that the BLM 1.3 will be based on a modified Savvy platform. This could translate to common parts for both platform (except engine and gear). If BLM 1.3 sells decently, then there'll be more economy of scale for this platform, which in turns translate to cheaper parts, more 3rd party parts etc.

Looks like savvy will be here to stay for a while hopefully.

Damn...dunno how many more days i have to wait for my Savvy....yesterday went to Brothers in Kelana Jaya...wah...damn big the place...other than main HQ, there's also 2 branches of Brothers along the same road just for ICE and other stuff.

Too bad i can't find any Volkswagon logo emblem...only got thundercats and mitsubishi emblem...anyway, not enough time to really browse the place yesterday.

I think a few things you'll need to do:
(1) Change to 14" rims. Old cars come with 15" rims which has some problem with the brakes due to some "freeplay" gap...don't ask me. I don't understand, but all new Savvy comes with 14" rims....that should tell you something.

(2) Check the ignition coil connector got broken/burnt or not. Maybe u need to go to SC and ask mechanic to do it..but careful...lots of mechanic dunno how to take out the ignition coil connector. Must twist and turn, cannot simply pull out. Some people reported the ignition coil problems ARE caused by incompetent mechanics who don't know how to pull the connector when changing spark plugs and broke the thing as a result.

(3) No AMT please.

(4) Standard stuff to check...engine oil leak, etc...ask ur mechanic.

(5) Test drive and check for jerkiness which could indicates ignition coil problem or throttle body dirty(which can be clean easily).

(6) Preferably get one with full SC service records.

I don't think anyone will wanna overhaul their Savvy since still new engine...2 years+....unless got serious problem.....

Gee....i sound like Savvy expert eventhough i dun even have the car yet....i hope i dun give wrong info.

Added on August 13, 2007, 8:00 pmEasy. Myvi has light steering wheel (fully power steering, Savvy is some sorta hydralic steering which feels heavier), larger space, easier clutch. It's very simple to see why ladies will like Myvi better.

Both car has differrent driving experience....which is one of the reason why i opt for Savvy instead of Viva..coz Viva is like driving an inferior Myvi. Driving a Savvy is a different experience.

Can't wait ...ooohh...SA haven't call me yet. Hopefully he'll call me tomorrow...i still wonder why the Savvy haven't reach Mutiara showroom yet.....should have loads of ex-stock mah!!!

Common knowledge ler...the Myvi is based on Daihatsu Sirion/ Toyota Passo Boon. Although there were contradicting reports that P2 were actually involved for the R&D for the Myvi. It doesn't matter. Myvi is a good car for it's price. What's wrong with Japanese cars? Toyota is not the #1 car maker in the world for nothing.

As for "pride"....i don't think our country has anything to be proud of...Twin Towers...build by Japanese and Koreans? NEP policies after 50 years...useless Malaysia BODOH spirit..(climb north pole lar, space tourist, biggest roti canai, biggest flag pole (but very small brains)..etc etc.... .and Proton couldn't survive without a tongkat.....corrupted goverment......open racist and oppression of minority continues...

Wah...wanna kill ur car fast meh...shift at 6000rpm...I've never gone more than 4000rpm with my Myvi...must sayang mah...

Myvi is suprisingly torquey at 5th gear after 3000rpm. I can easily overtake a lot of cars easily and can feel lots of acceleration.

Maybe if you have change gear earlier, might perform better?


Can't wait for my Savvy and see how it feels.

I think 3 weeks standard process, more than that not acceptable for ex-stock cars! The SA told me is they need to clear Sales Tax with the custom. I suppose it should be a fast process kua...but u know ler, Malaysia boleh...5 minutes job of stamping a document can turn into a whole week proccess.

I sure hope i can get the car by this Friday so that i can ride it this weekend.

Long journey with 4 adults...can, but where to put luggage dude?? Extra space in a bigger car will come in extremely useful. Even the space in my Myvi is just enough only when i made some long journey a few months ago. For tall people, sit at the back(Savvy) sure leg cramp...i don't think i wanna sit behind in the Savvy for long journey. At least, with Myvi, i can sit behind comfortably with loads of leg rooms to spare...and my head not hitting ceiling. IMO, the savvy can only cater for 2 normal to tall person in front, 2 short person behind...otherwise, legs sure cramp.

If go back hometown no need lor (but i don't have hometown and my wife's hometown can't be reach by land...LOL). But if you go vacation sure u need luggage mah! I drove to Singapore about 2 months ago in my Myvi.Quiet satisfied with it.

2) The cushion on Myvi is not that hard. A good mattress is actually hard and good for your back. Hard mattress is more expensive than cheap soft mattress. (But in this case, both the Savvy and Myvi seats are nice in their own way. It's just different).

3) No point having extra leg room and head room? Yeah right... ..maybe not needed for shorties kua..

4) I don't miss the rear HeadRest. I don't think my STD Savvy has one anyway.

5) Compare Myvi with a Van?? Why don't you compare it with a Bus?? Or maybe you should compare Savvy with a real Lotus??
