QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 7 2007, 08:00 PM) i dont think its a promotion. Its a toned down version of the savvy. BUt 33k for a 1.2l car is dam cheap. i dont really care if they change the rims or took out the cd player those things can be bought easily with 2k+. |

QUOTE Just checked with Proton to see what's up. Here's the low-down. 1. The new Savvy Lite will be limited to only 11,000 units and will cease production in March 2008. So your standard Savvy shouldn't suffer any real loss of resale value. (thank god!) 2. The Savvy Lite will be almost devoid of accesories, something like the low-spec base line Iswara. The differences: - Available only in White (solid) or Black (metallic), white will only be available from September 2007. - Only 2 front speakers (no rear speakers) - 14inch steel rims (will have hub caps) - No power window - No rear head rest - No front fog lamp - No luggage lamp - No rear wiper - No reverse sensor - No hood insulator - No alarm or immobilizer - No rear spoiler (may also possibly come with only cassette player, no confirmation) The Price (OTR) MT (solid) : 33,549 MT (metallic) : 33,999 AMT (solid) : 36,549 AMT (metallic) : 36,999 So there you go, the Savvy Lite, still a good buy if you ask me. I think i'll get my parents to buy one. Bye bye Perodua Viva, muahahaha (and good riddance to expensive rubbish) Book yours today! From DavidB @ savoc.net |

i think its a good step for proton......not all people like all the accesories given by them...with this option people can upgrade themselves whateve they want...
i think may be proton already in the way to restructure their car prices becoz the new model will come out soon |

eh rear wiper also not necessary actually
well, eventhough there are new models, but there will be no change to the Savvy, it'll still be Proton's A-segment car.. I think the introduction and restructure is to find a place to put the BLM and the Gen-2 Sedan. This post has been edited by nerd: Jul 7 2007, 09:05 PM |

white savvy will be really nice and cute
it will be an attraction on the road being white savvy plus all its safety history (through real accidents)... its success will follow LMST's 27k success additional 30% less in spare parts price anyone know if the LITE version has a lighter weight?... since no fog lamps, steel rims and no all the other wiper etc... lighter means more hp and better FC This post has been edited by SingleAvail: Jul 7 2007, 09:08 PM |

But everything else is ok i guess. but sometimes use human powered window is more reliable than power window... try to imagine after wind down but cant wind up + raining... but savvy lite still a good bang if compare with viva... less accessories from p1, less customer complain to p1, less bad image on p1... and savvy lite owner can install any accessories... unlike myvi, once changed their stock alarm, maybe warranty will void... |
