looks like the eksport version of proton really much better and safer
*
the export version only have additional abs and air bags. The build of the car is still the same. So the savvy in the pic(singapore savvy) is as tough as the savvy in malaysia.

As u can see in the pics, the savvy only sustain minor scratches on its body and the overall shape of the vehicle is intact,

looks like proton really delivers what they promise. A really tough little car. Kudos to proton icon_rolleyes.gif

well we could say the design is unique. It seems that proton wants their own original design that symbolize the proton cars.

I think we are going to see more of the gen2 and satria neo tiger eyes headlight for more of their cars.

The savvy on the other hand have really daring/new design, maybe most of the Malaysians dun really like bold and daring design. JUst look what happen with the Juara. Weird design and malaysian rejected it.

well for me the savvy is really a unique car. well thats my 2 cents

i saw someone selling a 2005 Savvy for only 20k... Tiara Replacement Model is there..

actually i dont really understand why savvy is selling so cheap for a second hand car. To say that its a bad car i dont really agree. Actually how does the market sets the price for a second hand car anyway?? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

im thinking of buying a manual high line savvy, I have went to 2 shops and they dont have any discount on the car and one of them say that the discount only comes on merdeka promotion which is in july

So im asking here does anyone know how much is the discount for last year merdeka sale? Is it about rm3000 like that?

Ive checked with one of the proton dealer. The high line manual savvy costs 43k while the AMT costs 45.8k.

Of course both of them comes with Dual airbags and ABS

When can i get my own savvy.....heh

savvy's sale will be a big problem after the arrival of viva, IMHO. but the AMT part is quite a big sales point.
*
i think that savvy is a better car than the viva. The premium viva(AT) is like 44k which is too expensive for a 1000cc car. Even the cheapest 1000cc(MT) (not premium no abs etc) is 38k.

With 39k u could get the MT savvy(no abs airbag) which has bigger engine, better handling and a Stronger chassis. Even the AMT(high line=abs airbags) costs 46k

But the typical malaysian herd mentality will make them choose the viva if someone else buys it(eg neighbors) . And becoz a perodua=daihatsu. doh.gif

Just maybe the overprived viva will make savvy more attractive

men, i knwo its not a problem if driving slowly normally.... but if u are a street racer then its all different... thats why its a major problem for racers... u know..
must fast shift and control streering
*
Then i guess the racers in europe have it hard. Maybe michael shumacher is not the fastest driver and cant drive manual cars coz he cant shift gear fast enough. Then all the fastest drivers in the world comes from japan? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif jk jk

There is nothing wrong with the signal indicator on the left side. It just makes u place of ur hand on the steering wheel when ur changing gear. I switch between proton waja and wira everytime and i dun have any problem adapting to them( both are manual btw). To tell the truth i prefer the left and signal coz it feel more 'natural'. Duno la how to explain

But i guess racers dun really mind the signal lights placing coz they dont use the signal lights when they want to turn/overtake?? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

DUDE!... in europe, they change gear with right hand so their signal is left ... u see they have this theory its best to have signal opposite from the gear knob... and they(europeans) practice this for a reason... but when they are exported to asian, they lazy to change the position of signal thats why u get signal on the left
*
when i say europe i mean the UK. Sry about that mistake. sweat.gif If im not mistaken they change have the same right hand drive here in malaysia. And from what i seen they do have their signal changer on the left side like proton (eg citroen) . If there is any cars that change signal n the right side let me know ok(exept japanese cars of coz they chnage on the right)

LOL man if u wan to talk UK then use Lotus as example... their signal is right hand side... dun use german example (citreon as u said)
*
But not everone in UK uses lotus. If im not mistaken most of the british car makers have gone bankrupt. The only one left and are making money are land rover ( and those are LUXURY cars) meanings that not everyone owns them.( im not sure about this...)

It could be safely said that most of the car in UK are those cars imported from the EU and Japan. So its safe to say that they are accustomed to the left hand signal switching.

anyway befor going more and more off topic lets just say that left hand signal light swithing is not that rare and many ppl in the world are using them. If they can adapt to it want cant we. From my pov its not really that difficult to adapt to it and im always switch between a wira and waja( both manual)

So to say that proton is stupid for making left hand signal change is just...stupid. Many cars in the world are having this type of configs and they are not labeled as stupid.

Well lets not make this an issue any longer and just go back to the topic of PROTON SAVVY thumbup.gif

i dont think its a promotion. Its a toned down version of the savvy. BUt 33k for a 1.2l car is dam cheap. i dont really care if they change the rims or took out the cd player those things can be bought easily with 2k+.

the bodykit was once on the R3 website, but for some reason the website is down for the past few months..

Well 1 question here , which is a better buy, the 'proper' 40k(mt) savvy with all the accesories or the lite 33k version.

BEcoz i think that installing all those accecories in the lite savvy is going be a hassle with all those wiring and stuff.

The price is attractive and a white savvy is surely going to make head turns. But then a lot of things have to be modded, no time for those things..haih..

off topic: what happen to the r3 website, it seems that it does not exist anymore
