AMT spareparts will become much easier to find because there are alot of AMT Savvys on the road. Plus, the AMT is the same from the old Renault Clio, which I believe can be found in Malaysia (although rare). Spare parts shouldn't be a problem, with Proton already offering alot of discounts on 'em.
Real purpose of having AMT? To have the efficiency of a manual (ie power and FC-wise) AND the convenience of an auto.
Alot of manufacturers are turning to semi-auto gearboxes lately. Much cheaper to produce than auto gearboxes.

Fake auto? no can do because it never said that it's auto in the first place.
C'mon, first you bash the LHS, now AMT? Why not bash BMW, Merc, and VW while you're at it?

Why can't they fit an auto into it? We don't know -- ask them. Probably because they want to make the Savvy their premier 'fun car', while at the same time being convenient and cheap.
Don't see anybody else whinging about the AMT here.
