stop exaggerating. it's annoying.

True my sis in US drive an accord cost USD 20k and the petrol is ~USD1.50 per GALLEN (NOT liter). Proton made us all drive interior yet expensive cars in malaysia vmad.gif
*
wow, since when overseas cars don't have interior? is Proton at fault for making us drive 'interior cars?'

well, I suppose it's good in a way that Proton exists. Knowing the quality of Malaysian drivers, imagine how much our accident rate would increase if our cars were tax-free, and everyone could be owning a supercar at Malaysian S-Class prices.

Savvy > P2's K-Cars laugh.gif whistling.gif

I think all Proton H-Lines offer dual airbags and ABS at least. not sure whether New Savvy has EBD or not.

Try checking Paultan?

who says only super high end cars have signal stalks on the left? rolleyes.gif

anyway, signal stalks on the left is a good thing. safety feature. and if you're complaining that it's hard to signal with a manual, means there's something wrong with your driving. you signal a few seconds BEFORE you maneuver, not AS you maneuver. and that few seconds is enough for you to put your hand back on the gearstick.

and what's wrong with trying to be European? don't Europeans make world-class cars?

why not criticise P2 for being 'Japanese?'

and don't say that OH P2 IS JAPANESE SO OF COURSE THEY ARE GONNA FOLLOW THEM doh.gif

and isn't it shallow to say that Savvy's a bad car just because your friend doesn't like the hood?

Savvy gets my vote anytime if somebody's looking for a <45k car.

Metal Grey is the Grey colour found on the Satria Neo, while the Genetic Silver is more white than grey. Something like pearl white, but not iridescent like the Neo's.

eh rear wiper also not necessary actually tongue.gif

well, eventhough there are new models, but there will be no change to the Savvy, it'll still be Proton's A-segment car..

I think the introduction and restructure is to find a place to put the BLM and the Gen-2 Sedan.

the heavier steering is for handling purposes. it feels very planted and very solid.

what defines power for you? i personally think that the savvy's power is adequate.

come on lah, you're only paying like, less than RM40k? what sort of power do you expect?

i'm sure it's more powerful than the myvi anyways. and yes, i've driven both.

gear switching on the AMT is like a manual, you can't just accelerate and expect it to shift itself normally.

you know that jerky feeling when you accelerate while shifting gears on manual? it's the same as in AMT. wink.gif

engine power not enough? you gotta be kidding, i thought it was one of the most nippiest cars in the price range i've ever driven!

well putting the thing in 'D' doesn't make it an auto gearbox. you still have to time your gear releases in order for smooth gearshifts, I think.

AMT spareparts will become much easier to find because there are alot of AMT Savvys on the road. Plus, the AMT is the same from the old Renault Clio, which I believe can be found in Malaysia (although rare). Spare parts shouldn't be a problem, with Proton already offering alot of discounts on 'em.

Real purpose of having AMT? To have the efficiency of a manual (ie power and FC-wise) AND the convenience of an auto.

Alot of manufacturers are turning to semi-auto gearboxes lately. Much cheaper to produce than auto gearboxes. wink.gif

Fake auto? no can do because it never said that it's auto in the first place.

C'mon, first you bash the LHS, now AMT? Why not bash BMW, Merc, and VW while you're at it? whistling.gif

Why can't they fit an auto into it? We don't know -- ask them. Probably because they want to make the Savvy their premier 'fun car', while at the same time being convenient and cheap.

Don't see anybody else whinging about the AMT here.

I guess Malaysians still like boring, Japanese cars.. instead of fun to drive Euro-style cars.

how I wish Neo came with AMT! sad.gif don't like the power loss of my AT. cannot rev up and abuse also sad.gif

alah what for, buy Golf GTi in 10 years time cukup laugh.gif

btw Matrix, the DSG gearbox is faster than a manual. why is this achievable? the lack of a torque converter, and a twin-clutch system.

still say that a semi-auto is pointless now?

the semi-auto can still be developed further, while the auto gearbox cannot be expanded already, except for the number of gears perhaps. however it still cannot hide the fact that it is less efficient than a MT and semi-auto.

all variants of Savvy have power steering..

AMT Savvy underpowered? you gotta be kidding me. the Savvy is one of the nippiest small cars I've ever driven!

I don't know which is faster in initial pick-up, Savvy or Myvi, but Savvy is definitely no pushover.
