Why SONY removed "Take Screenshot" option from Power Menu. Any idea how to bring it back ? Or am i missing something?

Press on the Power Button and volume down button simultaneously for a couple of seconds. That should capture a screenshot for you.

yeah im aware of that. but was so happy of the shortcut they created in power menu. kinda disappointed they removed that.

other than that 4.2.2 stock is awesome for me. massive battery improvement.

currently 15hours standby, screen time 2 hours, and still got 42% left. Stamina mode only activated when below 30%. Everything is running and all on push notifications. emails, social medias.... very impressive battery now...

do have turned on 3G all the time? but likely same battery life like u.. if play games then lesser sot ady..

im on LTE all the time. well i dont game much on mobile. Gaming will always drain battery alot no matter what.

I prefer gaming on my Nexus 7 instead. Im always on Mobile Data btw. every thing is on and auto synced. got gmail, company email, outlook and yahoo mail. facebook, G+, twitter (2 accounts), 4SQ, instagram, and much more apps running constantly. Also i use TV Sideview alot and youtube leanback with my TV.

hi guys, i'm a new owner of xperia z, wanna ask a question, i'm sorry if this had been asked.

I somehow not really satisfy with the screen colour and i notice we can adjust the white balance. Is there a tweak for our xperia z or there's a good setting for white balance to have a better screen colour?

Why are you not satisfied? any screen protector in place?

this phone caught my attention during launch, spec, design, all perfect. Only when i look at the screen, i felt disappointed.
My past 2 phones are S.Amoled, so probably thats one of the reason i'm used to vivid colours. So lets not compare it with s.amoled 1st, i looked at my friend's padfone 2 compare to Z, Z's colour just seems a bit "washed out".

Btw i bought as a 2nd hand unit and there's a crystal screen protector attached.

Anyone tried, "Proximity Action" app on g.play? you can just hold/cover the proximity sensor for 1 sec and u can turn off or wake up your screen.

There's also a wave to off / wake screen option, but it feels a little gimmicky and doesn't work most of the time.

Its an alternative to pressing the lovely power button IMHO.

Did you update to latest version .429 - Android 4.2.2 or at least .253 or .307 base on Android 4.1.2

After updates, the color is huge jump, much vivid (enough actually) and enough black.

Also set brightness not more than 50% and tick Adapt to lighting conditions.

you mean update to .429 it looks even better?

Latest is. 423.

They is no .254 firmware and no .429 firmware.

Sony make a huge change since firmware .253

.350, .434 - color is wash out.

.253, .307 and .423 is nice.

moving from SAMOLED to XZ is painful experience if you are concern about saturation. Try look around folks over XDA, see they have tweak for it? Last time my Nexus 4 also have such issue, they tweak it perfectly

got link or suggestion ? b4 buying this phone i intended to move to padfone 2 due to the super IPS makes me drool also. but end up with Z due to pricing

No, in this case, you either sold it, as that is the optimal setting for Z. Z panel got viewing angle issue which cannot be solve. When look straight, it output nice and no washed out, but it will start washed out when turn angle.

Wait for Z Ultra which eliminate viewing angle issue. From all review now, it is one of the best screen panel. Z Ultra use new panel call Triluminos.

* I also came from AMOLED, frankly said I cannot accept over saturate and greenish color of S II or S III where I use before.
