No, in this case, you either sold it, as that is the optimal setting for Z. Z panel got viewing angle issue which cannot be solve. When look straight, it output nice and no washed out, but it will start washed out when turn angle.

Wait for Z Ultra which eliminate viewing angle issue. From all review now, it is one of the best screen panel.  Z Ultra use new panel call Triluminos.

this phone caught my attention during launch, spec, design, all perfect. Only when i look at the screen, i felt disappointed.
My past 2 phones are S.Amoled, so probably thats one of the reason i'm used to vivid colours. So lets not compare it with s.amoled 1st, i looked at my friend's padfone 2 compare to Z, Z's colour just seems a bit "washed out".

Btw i bought as a 2nd hand unit and there's a crystal screen protector attached.

I also moved from SIII and Lumia 920 to Xperia Z. But my experience with screen is extremely great. I am happy with the color and screen clarity and sharpness. Perhaps the screenprotector is already too old and changed color. Had experience previously where my protector changed color to yellowish on my older phone. so maybe its time for you to remove it and trying it out first before comparing it to being a hardware issue.

Used to play with custom rom a lot during galaxy S1 era, then moved to motorola with locked bootloader which can't do shit, lol.

But.. that Honami port camera I can't said it really great, it got more features but certain is missing, no SCN mode under manual as no night scene or night potrait mod, the Honami ROM is not complete I believe, at least not full version in the camera.

I not going back as I damn like the new look and the camera still perform nice in day time or indoor, I seldom take night shoot one. Night shoot still need DSLR for better output.

i saw in xda there , got a thread has honami extracted things like wallpaper, x reality, and etc.
probably flash those over stock rom and have the best of both?

That extract one camera will FC, only monx® no FC as monx® remove the face focus at Auto Superior, everything run fine except if you change the focus mode at Manual.

btw quick question, cwm can be flashed with bootloader locked or bootloader must be unlocked ?

Check 1st page, I had list out which CWM for locked, which for unlocked.

You need flash locked version for locked bootloader.

I like the Honami port too, read that a 4.3 rom is on the way for the Xperia Z. Can't wait for that although I'm not sure if the developer is still working on it or if he's done after receiving some negative comments.

hey guys. is there anyway to revert back to old 4.1.2 ver? it feels like using my old x10 after update my xz. lagg on most of apps (even typing this post using chrome also lagging) not to mentioned in-game lag (minion rush, subway surfers), cameras take seconds to load, lockscreen etc. already reset to factory default settings as advised.
