hi, XZ user here since April. This is my 1st smartphone and I'm very happy to choose XZ over Nexus 4. Already upgraded to 4.2.2 an root my XZ.
Just to comfirm, do malaysia XZ set exist?

this phone caught my attention during launch, spec, design, all perfect. Only when i look at the screen, i felt disappointed.
My past 2 phones are S.Amoled, so probably thats one of the reason i'm used to vivid colours. So lets not compare it with s.amoled 1st, i looked at my friend's padfone 2 compare to Z, Z's colour just seems a bit "washed out".

Btw i bought as a 2nd hand unit and there's a crystal screen protector attached.

got link or suggestion ?    b4 buying this phone i intended to move to padfone 2 due to the super IPS makes me drool also. but end up with Z due to pricing 

Haha! not only you complain, a lot complain, complain is good, at least Sony listen, or else Sony forever use such panel.

Lucky Sony already start using great viewing panel screen at Tablet Z and now even better panel  for coming Z Ultra.

I own both Tablet Z and Z, when I look at Tablet Z, I was so hoping my Z also using same type panel of Tablet Z.

Yea i saw the Tab Z demo, at least the colour is better than our Z already.

OT a bit, surprisingly S4's super amoled colour is pretty accurate this time compared to the past.
But somehow Super IPS seems the best.

google maps navigation start able to use in Malaysia with voice navigation already.. same as traffic light layers.. able to show our traffic condition.. seems good.

have testing in my house area but searching street and POI, seems accurate.. but POI is not so much yet available in msia.. only those famous one.. not really famous cant find it.. POI i will use back my papago.. then street name google maps well done and accurate..

Hello, new ZL user reporting in. Bought the black unit. First day of buying it, I thought I got a lemon copy, as the front earphone speaker seems to be not working. Have to switch the phone to handsfree / looudspeaker mode in order for me to hear what the caller is saying. Then, for dunno what reason, on the 2nd day, it miraculously worked! Anyone experienced this before?

I tried factory reset the phone (twice!) and upgraded the firmware to 4.2.2, also no use. Then the next day, it suddenly works. Weird......

.... but not when modern day consumer electronics are concerned. 

Just notice latest leak of Honami phone showing they is a SCN mode! wow! it will be cool if we could get latest Honami LEAK ROM!!!

Sony Mobile has just announced, via its official blog, a whitelist of the company’s Android devices that will be updated to the latest Android 4.3 OS, which was just announced late Wednesday night at a Google event in San Francisco.

While its current flagships are already receiving updates to Android 4.2, Sony Mobile has confirmed that most of its 2013 models – namely the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP, the new Xperia Z Ultra as well as the Xperia Tablet Z – have been confirmed to be updated to Google’s latest iteration of the Android platform.

On top of that, Sony is also looking at updating some of its devices running on Android 4.1 directly to Android 4.3, and will be sharing more news on that in the near future.

hi. i bought an AP set XZ 2 months ago. today i cant turn on my phone after washing it using tab water (all flaps close properly). brought it to the shop. they say got water damage and cant do anything about it. they say if i bought ori set also cant claim warranty. they just advise to let the phone dry for a week. sigh, so much for a water resistent phone. now really regret buying this phone. anybody have any advice on what should i do?

yea.. i got GTA3 and GTA4 in my ZL.. playing with ps3 controller always.. Its got android version one.. Officially in euro country, but not in Malaysia Store..

so only able to play via ahem version download..
