just contacted the sales person and they confirmed that the RM10k is non-refundable...so all these people will burn those money if they cancel it. then SDB will make huge profit from the forfeit... good way to make money haha...

They will only refund if the application for development and construction of the project is nopt approved by the authorities...now the lawyer firm Lim and Yeoh is holding the money and not them.

This is consistent with what I was told as well.

Heard that S&P will be signed most likely next year, (3 months from the date, plus additional 3 more months in case they still can't get the DO / approval).

Thanks for the clarification. So for those who want to go round play play, make sure don't tangle with Geng Chau Developers like SDB.. flex.gif

Under HDA, developer is not supposed to deduct or forfeit the deposit except for the admin fee which is stated on the booking form and signed and agreed by the purchasers

But this is SOVO, commercial and not protected under HDA

So SDB has the legal right to forfeit the RM10k deposit

Just went to the Gallery...like The Hub, so much wow factor in the show unit, evidently the same designer using lots of scandi stuff. Very nice. Sales looks like about 70%.

I visited both galleries, let's just say I spent a WHOLE 10 minutes in Mah Sing's and then left immediately. That development has NO SOUL, no wow factor, just pure Chinaman run-of-the mill development.

But hey, every segment's got their market and fansi. Just today Mah Sing announced a jump in net profit yet again.

Between MS and SDB properties, I will go for SDB. They are a class above, just love their designs, landscape, sculptures, lower density and the way they named their projects....20trees, By The Sea, 5 Stones, Windows On The Park, Sqwhere.....sound extraordinary u just cannot forget

Is a good long term investment, proven concept similar to successful developments next to MRT stations in Singapore and Hong Kong.

From what I've seen and heard so far, I'm beginning to be a fan myself though haven't bought any units from them yet. drool.gif
